who even cares? its COD, you've already played this game.

The same could be said about Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, and the new Smash Bros.
Of course, we all know that that line of thinking is shortsighted. Those games will most likely offer plenty of new stuff to an already established formula. The same can be said for COD.

And heck, even if you look at it and completely ignore the new campaign, the new weapons, the subtle differences in the ways weapons work, the different ways in which weapon loadouts are even structured, etc., it's basically a $60 map pack for multiplayer. Considering that's basically what the New Super Mario Bros. games are when looked in the same light (same physics, same art and music style, same overworld progression, same way in which levels are progressed, etc.), is it so bad that people get excited for it? It's a formula that works, and those that want more can get more. If you don't, then that's fine too.

As for myself, it's good that it's finally been confirmed. I may just get this one.

What's the point releasing Wii U version then. Game should not be released if it's not going to be equally treated like PS / xbox, thats an insult to Nintendo platform. Wii U will be FAIL if released games will not be on par with PS xbox counterparts.

Well it is because of former sales, if the system sells it well we still could see some doc. That is what I think and with the new pro controller I think we will see a rise in cod sales on Wii U

There's a niche of FPS players that like playing with the Wii Remote. It's a small one, but it's sizable enough that Activision can make money off of it. Then there's the people that may only have a Nintendo platform, or that like the idea of playing on the Gamepad.
But yeah, I agree that it's unfortunate that the Wii U version doesn't get many of the perks the other versions get, especially since the only reason they're not there is because it doesn't sell as well. Media promotion in particular confuses me. Would it require any effort at all for Activision to promote the game beside the other versions? I just don't get why they wouldn't want to advertise it.

I think Activision are treating the Wii U the same way as EA do with the PS2. EA still release FIFA games for the PS2 there bringing FIFA 14 to the PS2 and PSP believe it or not. But you don't see EA doing a song and dance about the versions. Because there just lazy ports that they don't intend on supporting very much once the title hits retail. I can see the same happening for COD Ghost on Wii U just like BLOP2. They will release it and barely support the title once it hits retail. Meaning hardly any updates and no DLC where PS3/360/PS3/XB1 will get all there attention.

Why cant we have some positive attitudes? I mean it is a new year for gaming coming upon us and you never know what might happen. Ill buy the game to support the wii u like many others will and if many do the same then our dreams of nintendo dlc will come true!!

I thought they added Move support to the recent PS3 versions, I could be wrong though.

There will be a amount of people that like to play it with wiimote, an amount that like to play it with the pro controller, and an amount that will like being able to play it on their gamepad(I quite enjoy knowing I can play on the gamepad screen if the TV is occupied). I think we will have a decent amount of buys for Nintendo compared to blops2.

I might buy it just to support 3rd Party on Wii U. Imagine if we all did that... we might be able to prove Wii U is a real contender

So... now I have another dilemma. Do you think Battlefield 4 or Destiny will come to the Wii U? If neither of them do, I'll probably get Ghosts.

I'm a PC player but I'll always have a spot for Nintendo. I grew up as a child as a hardcore Nintendo fanboy and I still love their games. The Legend of Zelda still gives me the magic feeling I had when I was a kid. :)

I really, really, really doubt it. It looks like COD is pretty much your only option in the FPS realm on the Wii U this year. In particular with Destiny. That game has a changing world with it, and its emphasis on online probably wouldn't be a good mesh with the Wii U community, especially in Activision's eyes. Look at the state of most games online with the Wii U for proof that it just wouldn't work too well. Too few people would play it to make having that server space worthwhile.

You will almost 100% not see Destiny for Wii U. Not that i don't think the Wii U couldn't handle it, but Bungie just doesn't release for Nintendo. So it's a fools dream, but a dream nonetheless. Battlefield 4 you probably have a better chance with, although not for quite awhile. First Nintendo has to prove their worth spending money to make a Wii U version and since online play is the biggest part/ Requires more players than COD you wont see it for quite awhile if ever mattering on how Nintendo Network goes. So you could say a more believable dream.

The game is published by Activision. The Bungie guy said "My body is ready." The game will be released in 2014, the Wii U will have a dramatically different aura by then.

I think it was you I talked about it to once, so remember my grand cru!

Battlefield 4??? THAT, though, is a dream and should definitely stay as one.

The interesting thing is, is that every one is saying Wii U won't get 3rd party games, yet there's no literal reason why.
The reasons are "small install base" or "Wii U isn't powerful" enough. I can agree with the install base argument, TO AN EXTENT, but that's quickly becoming irrelevant, because Wii U will have an instant 5 million user base to cater to when Xbox One and PS4 release with new games.
Xbox One and PS4 could sell 2 million units right off the bat, or it could not. Every console's future is on equal ground, but Wii U already has 5 million owners which is the goal of other 8th gen consoles.
If 3rd parties don't embrace Wii U's install base that is clearly ahead of the competition, I think they'll be missing out on a big opportunity.

Honestly, if I had to pick between Destiny and COD Ghosts, I would pick Destiny. There is no reason why they won't release games for Wii U besides the arguments that have either become irrelevant over time(install base), or never were backed by any source on either side(specs, power).

I'm pretty sure COD Ghosts on Wii U will be the 8th gen version, but we'll just have to wait and see. Afterall, the new graphic engines they're using for 8th generation games haven't been used for any game yet, so it's kind of foolish to expect 8th generation games on Wii U at this point, when they aren't available anywhere else, either.

I stayed away from COD for a very long time after it started ruining my grades freshman year...but I MIGHT get it on Wii U just so I have an online game to play. I have like one friend on my Wii U and I want to make more so I might get it just for that reason alone..haha. I know absolutely NOTHING about the game, but if it doesn't have zombies then I'm definitely not buying it.

I dont think you will see Zombies on ghost, so dont set your heart on it if that is going to be your big reason for the buy. I say still buy it if you can though just to support nintendo network and third party games. Now about destiny again. Depapier, you probably know more than me, i'm really only stating my opinion on what i have seen so far . Don't get me wrong, i am one of those people that would looove to see it come to Wii U!

You will not be seeing zombies on Ghosts. The zombie mode is reserved for Treyarch versions of the game, even though Treyarch is handling the Wii U porting.
