seeing as the wii u is like a sinking stone in sales preformance here in the uk is anyone questioning the future of the wii u ??
i mean yeah there are a ton of first party nintendo games on there way this year but what about third party support ? all the developers are jumping the sinking ship.
so what are your thoughts on this ? do you think it will improve ? or is it the gamecube all over again ? ** and please ... no fanboy comments .. **

Must we have a doomsday thread each day? Why not just continue the conversation in one of the dozens of threads already existing for this?
Okay, Nintendo hasn't had much third party support for quite awhile, even if that is going to change it wouldn't be overnight. Considering the install base is still so small, I don't blame developers for being hesitant to devote themselves to the system, especially when the 360 and PS3 are still going strong. Nintendo has gotten by fine without good third party support and it's ridiculous how everyone assumes the system is doomed. As for the poor sales in the UK, I don't know why it's not taking off there but it seems to be doing well enough here in the US of A. Still, it's been only a few months, stop worrying and just enjoy the system. Unless you don't like it, in which case you shouldn't be worried anyways.

theres a picture on the internet about all the third party games coming out this year like 40 games ? it has like 4 green ticks out of forty
examples of 3rd party devs jumping ship ? theres a TON there was a conference at DICE not too long ago and they was talking about cancelled games on the wii u that they was going to be released. by each passing day the wii u is looking worse and im upset that its happening we have no games just s****y 360 ports
nintendo needs to get there heads out of the sand and secure 3rd party support, they cant hold the fort on there own with 1st part games

Honestly any third party developers would be quite idiotic to offer heavy support to the system right now. Even if it's not in danger right now, the install base is growing way too slowly. Nintendo needs to first release some good system sellers to get the system into houses, that's what will lead to third party support and that will take time. I doubt the system is going to fail but expect a slow start.

Nope almost every time a new console comes out. Doom, and gloom is just part of the territory for a couple months. It gets news sites more hits by publishing a "controversial" negative story, which leads to more comments, that equal more revenue. Plus if you get more people arguing about something controversial. The person(s) in question will keep coming back to reply to each other. Leading to more views/revenue.
All I say is don't believe the "hype". The Wii U will be just fine. Its a new console give it some time.
It's ok to have criticism, but other threads similar exist. I understand the Wii U doesn't have exactly what everyone wants at the moment, but alot of people 'worried' or 'skeptical' need to patient, and go play Tekken or something for a while. I honestly would be worried if no one was doing anything to make Wii U a better platform to have, but the fact is, Nintendo is working hard as we speak to get cool stuff on the system. 3rd parties will make games, and there's no need to worry. Sure, ports made some quick jumps, but games made by those same companies are starting to implement Wii U specifics. There's no difference between last gen, and this gen IMO. It was pretty hard for all the companies to adapt the different control schemes for Wii, while focusing on other platforms that didn't have them at first, or used them when those consoles did.
Wii U is a big system to support at the end of the day. People out there have them, and the install base is sure to grow by at least double I think by the end of the year. Go play Tekken or something.
