@CanisWolfred Hey why not? If people are willing to donate, who are we to boo it? As long as he isn't saying he is dying because he doesn't have a ps4. Even for hard working people sometimes life sucks financially. Getting a second job (or third as is often my case) or trimming life expenses isn't always an option.
@Rexcalibr Hey I'm willing to toss a fiver your way if you tell me where to go.

@Ryu_Niiyama Patreon tends to work like Kickstarter. People there usually don't see it as a tip jar, they see it as an investment, or at best, a rewards program. They expect to get something out of it, whether it's getting to see the results of a project they helped to finance, or getting actual stuff that they couldn't get without their monthly donations. I mean, making a Patreon to get a laptop would be the equivelant of street begging, and I'm not so sure how far he'd get there. The kind of people you're talking about are less than .1% of the population. In a world where everyone's getting squeezed dry, do you really thing those people should be relied upon for something so menial?
I mean, c'mon, he'd have a better chance begging his family members if he really needed to. Maybe some of them could pitch in, or maybe someone's gotta trade up and has a spare laptop they don't need. Not to say it's a guarantee, but the holidays are coming up, and it's not like you'd need a thousand-dollar machine...I mean, just look at those specs!
Getting back on Topic:
I will say that I'm disappointed that we missed out on a touchscreen-compatible Stardew Valley port. Granted, I don't even know how the controls are in that game, if it needed a mouse, or if the controllers work better now that they've updated it. I wanna say I heard a lot of complaints before, but it seems like their team was very good at listening to criticism...
Still, it looked handy! Like, even in Harvest Moon, having a second screen that's also a touchscreen made navigating the menues a bit quicker, I thought. Since there's no Vita version (last I checked?) and the Switch apparently doesn't have a touch screen (again, last I checked), it does feel like a missed opportunity to make at least one of the ports fairly unique, and more in-line with the PC original. Oh well.
@Rexcalibr I am not going to lie and this is the honest truth, so take it as you will. If you indeed started up a Kickstarter fund or whatever instead of a job, whatever respect I have for you is now gone. You sir are what is wrong with the world today. And quite frankly should be ashamed. Which I know your not, which again just reminds me how f'ed this world has become.
