As for Advance Wars...all entries have been on handhelds last I checked.
Er, no. It's a franchise that started on consoles, then moved to handhelds because more people bought handheld games in Japan. It could move back to consoles if they wanted to.

And even if they didn't, check Paper Mario...all 3 were console only and they decided to put the 4th one on the 3DS.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I have to say, I have no idea what they could bring out. Fire Emblem? Had a 3DS game just months ago. WarioWare? Had Game & Wario just months ago. Paper Mario? Sticker Star wasn't that long ago, regardless of what we thought of it.
I'm also not sure I'd want any games like are mentioned n the topic. Fire Emblem seems too soon, and too risky (why risk a series that was on the verge of cancellation pre Awakening by releasing it on a currently badly selling system?), WarioWare seems like it'd be overdoing it (Game & Wario AND WarioWare Wii U? I'd rather have a 3DS title thanks) and I fear that Paper Mario Sticker Star means that Intelligent Systems will screw up any new Paper Mario game. I mean, think about it. Not all its problems were due to Miyamoto, and they even messed up his instructions even further. This article kind of explains it:
My fear is that when it comes to Paper Mario and Intelligent Systems, they're just plain bad game designers, not 'artists' picked on by the 'evil meddling Miyamoto'. Both Super Paper Mario and Sticker Star had tons of poorly designed sections which weren't that fun to play and some questionable new ideas, and I worry it's almost a plague that's befallen the franchise post Thousand Year Door (or perhaps to a much lesser extent, even in Thousand Year Door).
So what would I want? A good Paper Mario game like Thousand Year Door ideally. If not, then I guess Fire Emblem or maybe Advance Wars. Just stay away from 'WarioWare Wii U' and 'Paper Mario Sticker Star; The Sequel With even Less Imagination'.
I'm going to predict that it will be, and I'm just winging it here, a game! Crazy idea I know.
In all seriousness considering how close the last Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, WarioWare, installments were, Advance Wars seems most likely. I don't think it's a new IP though.

I agree. Even if it ends up being a new IP, it'll probably be a minor one for the Wii U eShop.

Since they needed to sell 700k just to see the franchise profitable on WiiU, I highly bet Fire Emblem (not including SMT x FE) will stay on 3DS unless Nintendo wants to take the risk.

there is no reality where this is true and it's kinda insulting
Sticker Star was just a new idea that they didn't want to have wasted and thrown to the wayside, so they had to make ridiculous design decisions for it to work at all. It's likely they just trapped themselves into a corner and were too far along in development to reasonably make it all that good.

...I liked Sticker Star, even with its flaws...so, yeah...all this hate is kinda unnecessary.
In true internet fashion, I actually completely agree with people's disappointment with it...and I'm still against them because they are so over-the-top with it.

Yeah, I understand too...little to no dialogue compared to the rest of the series (not even Bowser speaks, WTF? lol), the battle system. But I think everyone is overeacting when stating its the worst game in the series, or system even....I mean, seriously? lol

Yea it is like Intelligent Systems released 1 "bad game" and now they are saying
they're just plain bad game designers
which is way over the top. I would like anyone to point out a company that hasn't released a "bad game"
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
