Either your ext. HDD is faulty/not recommended, or your Wii U is faulty. It takes a while to download stuff, but it should never take over 30 minutes to install anything. I'm using a Toshiba 2TB ext. HDD. I would recommend that, since it has max memory for Wii U, and it has a seperate AC power cable. There's not much else to say... Like Mad Aussie said, this isn't rocket science.

I was just about to say that. haha. There was an ad on Jay Leno that he was making fun of that said that... Seriously though, go buy good s***, so we don't have to hear about how bad s*** is, when it actually isn't.

Right, right, right. Let's skip Conan, and go straight to Letterman, guys.

If you are still watrching Jay Leno, hopefully it wasn't you that Reggie came and slapped.

I have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to Reggie slapping people, but I don't watch that show INTENTIONALLY, just for the record... It's just what my parents watch, and I happen to be in the room. Go buy a Toshiba 2TB ext. HDD, to everyone who hasn't already(I have one). It will for sure work, is fast, and maxes out the memory. $100, might go on sale soon...

@SCAR392 Yeah I think the problem is non AC powered HDD using the 'Y' cable setup causes all these issues I have a SEAGATE 2TB AC powered one that turns off when the WiiU is shutdown and I haven't had any issues whatsoever.

Yup. I know people complain at having to plug in a seperate AC, but it's the most efficient way for any HOME setup, unless you're using it for a PC. Mine only uses power when in use, too. I bought mine a couple weeks after Wii U came out, because I was already out of memory, and it looked good, was priced well. It even has a matching blue light when it runs, and it's black like my Wii U. I'm even so smart, that I bought it before Best Buy recommended it for Wii U on their site. Haha... Just kidding about me being smart

I'm quite happy using my 64GB SDCard ... It's just like using the wiiu's on board flashstorage ... I just wish they'd fire out a proper update that enables the slots in the front 2 be recognised... I don't wanna start adding external HDDs cause they look untidy IMO.

Regarding download times, I just want to say I used PlayStation Store for the first time ever today... On my PSP Crash Bandicoot, a 462 MB PSX game, took about three hours to download and install. Ouch. Crash 2 has taken about 55 minutes so far for the download. I will dread downloading The Spyro Trilogy. On the flip side, the Wii U updates only took a couple of minutes each for me to complete. So perhaps this is just an issue of Internet area.

I suspect a lot of the problems stem from Nintendo needing to beef up their servers and whatever pipes are connected to them. I presume the European servers are located in Germany?

Just remember that moisture from your breath will rust electronics. It works now, because moisture conducts, but it will rust later. I wish they made a 2TB SD card. That really would be ideal for convenience, but they can only get 128 GB max thus far... Oh well, I'd be pissed if I lost that s*** anyway, which does happen to me alot w/ SD cards.

ouch you paid £45-55 or $60 for this game ? you can get it so much cheaper on retail or on online stores, at savygamer you can pick up batman for £17

I;'d like to test the system before I go flying around as Batnan. Cost is not an issue. Or cozy.

I've had enough 'deals' on Steam. No reason for getting them on Wii U.

This is a technical question, honestly, your ideas about how your may download pikmin eventually are just vagaries.

Huh ????

He's saying that it doesn't matter how you get the game, the fact is, is that you have it one way or another. I honestly don't care how much stuff costs half the time either. If I have enough, I'll buy it. If I don't have enough, then I'll just wait 'til I do. I'll look for a btter price, sure, but it's not worth say, driving 100 miles($30 gas) for $20-40 cheaper.

I'm also down with downloads regardless of price - just makes me more choosy about games and means I'll spend less in the long run or get more indie stuff which has to be healthier for gaming in the long run.
