As in the title, what do you wish Nintendo had done differently? Personally I wish they'd treated the virtual console more seriously and launched with the Wii lineup and added the GameCube and Sega Saturn to it too. It was my favourite bit of the Wii and it's a big shame to see the state it's in on Wii U, a much poorer effort IMO. But, if the money/interest is not there, it's not there.
The game library, especially what we got in the first 2 years of the console's life. Too many rehashes (especially from the major IPs) and not enough unique ideas or uses for the Gamepad.
The advertising (and name). Nintendo only shows ads for their newest game for a few weeks, but they NEVER advertise their console. They should do that, and do that 52 weeks a year. Look at the PS4 & Xbox One, if Sony and Microsoft didn't make ads for those consoles, they wouldn't be selling a well.

Too many? Only one I can think of is New Super Mario Bros U.
I wish you could rip a game disc to the hdd. Disc swapping is so last century, but I don't like the idea of paying full price (usually more) for a download copy that won't be available in 10 years as part of my collection unless I successfully clone my hdd before it fails etc.
I want the quietness and convenience of hdd games, but the long-term security of owning the disc (and I'm not going to be paying for both).

That could be awesome. Would very much like that. Simply because that I have discs from the early Wii U days that I'd love to be digital on my HDD.

Isn't that something the Xbox One was originally offering? I don't think it was ripping the disc but downloading the digital version if you owned the Physical version.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Many minor things. But if it's one thing that I can change, it is the digital triggers of the controllers. Wish the shoulder buttons of the GamePad and the Pro Controller were analogue.
Those minor things I was talking about? Wii U dimensions, Adding a few things to the Main Menu and the interface overall, and ads. But I'm totally fine with my Wii U!
being able to use two Wii U game pad's without the frame rate being split in half
I'll go off of WaveWarlock and say that I wish 2 Gamepad functionality was available at launch. Either that, or find a way to use cartridges. I forget the reason why CDs are better, whether its that you can't store as much on a cartridge, or it's harder to do HD, or something. But I miss being able to take the game itself off of the shelf and put it in without a case, and I miss how the cartridge systems had virtually no loading times. They were so durable, too! I'm always afraid I'll break or scratch the CD each time I take it out, and I can never let kids handle it.
the fact that you cant take the gamepad 5 feet away from the system.
Must be something in the way. I can take the gamepad from my room to the living room, which is separated by a wall, and more than five feet away with no issues.
Anyway, I would love the gamepad to be a compatible with virtual console titles in Wii mode.

Okay, you can definitely take it longer than 5ft. There isn't a spot in my apartment where it doesn't work! Granted, my apartment is kinda small, but I can still take it anywhere, even to the bathroom if I really wanted to.
Peoples views on it, serious the amount of people who slam is disappointing as it's a great console that deserves to sell well.
