Topic: If you are not getting a Wii U on launch day, what are you waiting for?

For me, its a lower cost, more games and more Virtual Console games not supported by regular Wii. New Super Mario Bros. U is a game I would buy once I got the console, not a game I would buy the console for. Many other games being released for the Wii U I could just buy on my XBOX 360. I am not interested in Nintendo Land, but then I don't know too much about it.

Even though I could play the games this week if I wanted to buy them again, the news of Gamecube and Dreamcast games coming to the Virtual Console on Wii U would make the console much more attractive to me. Gamecube games are something I fully expect, but Dreamcast games may not appear until much later.

I would love to buy one personally, and I have enough money in my back account to justify a purchase, but I just won't be able to buy one day one because I may not be able to pre order in time and I don't know whether my parents are gonna let me buy one or get me one for xmas, although they don't buy stuff like that for me ever.
I haven't pre ordered one because I'm not gonna be near any EB games at the time of release here, which is Nov 30th for us.
Even so, I hope to buy one and i hope my parents dont end up buying me one because they'll likely end up confused and buy the wrong machine, e.g. a white wii u instead of the black wii u. They don't seem to care that much to put any thought into a purchase if they were gonna get one for me so that's why I wouldn't want them to get it.
It's a good thing that the machine is under $600, but I would still have to buy 1 or two games to go with it and also a pro controller, it just means to me that I may have to sacrifice getting a black wii u and get a white instead, but that's not a problem as SD cards and USB hard drives are rather cheap nowadays.

for the outdoors to stop being fun. So, probably around autumn or winter.

I'm waiting for Zelda, of course, I sort of want to play Assassin's Creed III on the Wii U.

The 250 to the 169 price drop that happened a month after i got my 3ds.

I'm waiting for a price drop on the Premium model.

A good selection exclusives that are actually of interest to me which the launch doesn't have, also I kinda want to see what PS4 has to offer but depends on how long they take with that not to mention its price of course.

I'm waiting on Nintendo. They have done a completely horrendous job with the Wii U's launch, and it's not even released yet.
1) Dragging out simple details, such as friend codes or no friend codes
2) Terrible demo stations (demoing a game not releasing for another 6+ months in the U.S.?)
3) Apparently overall terrible Wii U commercials for the U.S., with little direction in the one minute one
4) No details on eShop games at launch, and their prices...don't tell me Nintendo is helping out third parties by waiting a few days before the system launches to talk about eShop games and the service. Getting news from the developers first that a game will be at launch, shows a HORRIBLE effort thus far on Nintendo's part to promote the Wii U eShop and getting new Wii U customers excited about the games releasing for it.

I have more reasons to cancel my Wii U pre-order, than to keep it...and it's all because Nintendo (maybe just NoA), doesn't know how to communicate and has done a horrendous job at dragging things out. We are now 3 days away from launch, and no details about eShop launch games?

It's terrible, I'm hoping they do another Nintendo Direct tomorrow, with REAL information and not rehashed Bill Trinen translations of what the Japanese version already told us.

We're not in summer anymore, you know.

Plus I'm saving for a new PC for my Steam games. WiiU/PS4 can wait for me.

But hey my PS3 is doing fine for me now

Haven't really been that hyped for it. Its mostly a combonation of no real software I think is a must have and waiting what the other next gen systems are.

I'll probably pick one up around six months later like I did with my 3ds. So probably around may for me.

I'm waiting for games worth playing.
