I don't think there was any kind of point to begin with

On another note you might want to wait because Modern Warfare 4 will be out next month.

This is probably my last COD game in the series. I have all but one of the COD games since COD4: Modern Warfare (all on PC) & the multiplayer game remains the same. If it's your first time playing the series then Black Ops 2 is a highly recommended game even if you mainly will play it on SP. The storyline is good with added historical elements put into it. The gameplay on MP remains the same. It becomes a battle of who draws his gun, aim & shoot first without real strategy unlike the Battlefield or Medal of Honor series. Quick reflexes matter on this game. Enemy will just pop up all around you so you have to move constantly. I stopped playing this game for close to a month & when I came back playing I sucked. You need to hone your skills on the MP regularly to maintain your skills in quick draw, aim & fire.

It's the only thing left that is worth playing in those games. It's not wonder that each game on metacritic has 1000's of negative ratings. I think the past 3 have like 3/10 lol

Yet the game has sold millions of copies.

I'd think bye this point the hardcore gamer market should realize nearly everything you guys hate Sales a ton of copies.

That comment about all Nintendo Franchises coming to mind was probably the most uneducated post I have ever seen on a forum.

You're uneducated. Nintendo's games are just as, if not more, repetitive than Call of Duty. You're little nit picking and exaggeration can literally, without a doubt, be applied to any game.

Yes, even Nintendo's.

Kid Icarus is NOT repetitive. Zelda is NOT repetitive. Metroid is NOT repetitive. 3D Mario games (2D are a little) are NOT repetitive. Sin & Punish is NOT repetitive. Tingle is (excluding the battles) NOT repetitive. COD is VERY repetitive.

Are you really using Metacritic user reviews to back up your point? I honestly have no idea how to respond to that.

Nintendo is one of the most innovative companies in the industry

The last thing that @DefHalan said is exactly why I get Nintendo consoles and only Nintendo consoles. Originality Nintendo's middle name. Sony and Microsoft..... no so much. Sony used to be an originality machine back in the PS1 days. That was the only time I liked Sony.

I don't see how your point about Sony is true, saying they have no originality is just plain false. Originality is more than just having a really different controller.

I said nothing about controllers. although they haven't changed it at all lol.
When it comes to originality and a bunch! of high quality and quantity 1st party games, Nintendo is the undisputed champion.

Sony also really knows how to change the name of their systems..... just saying

Sony has a bunch of high quality first-party games too.

You have your opinions about which console has more originality, I have mine.
So lets stop.
Not to mention this thread was started for a guy that was wondering if he wanted COD Black Ops 2.
I say you get it if you really want it. Right now for the Wii U I would highly recommend Injustice Gods Among Us though.

but it is definitely one of the most repetitive series alive.

A lot games are repetitive. 2D Mario games are a great example of this. Most racers, RPGs, puzzlers and sports games can grow to be repetitive as well. Which covers a lot of Nintendo games.

Call of Duty is repetitive, no doubt, but it's not any more guilty than any other franchise out there. Yes, even 3D Marios and Metroid.

There's a reason many people choose to just load custom maps (people who don't care about the community)

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

No, no, 3D Marios offer much more in terms of gameplay innovations. Metroid as well except perhaps in the case of the Prime series.

And people can simply load custom maps rather then purchase the next game, providing they don't mind being basically alone in the community. That's enough evidence that it's pretty repetitive. That doesn't mean it's bad, but you didn't see people with hacked Wiis downloading custom Mario levels instead of purchasing Galaxy 2, arguably the least original 3D Mario title up to that point.

The main formula of a 3D Mario is run, jump and collect. It can be said about any game regardless of "innovation(s)".

I believe you're confusing modded lobbies of Modern Warfare 1 and World at War with the rest of the franchise. Which cripples your point.

Just for you.

The formula is the same, but there are a lot more innovations. Yes, that does make it less repetitive. That's very easy to understand. The 2D Marios are a fair point because innovation is minimal.

Super Mario Sunshine is the only exception to this analysis. Even then, the player is still running, jumping and collecting. Plus, if we had to get technical, Black Ops II's RTS option is innovation and nerfs the repetition.

Just for you.
