Ya know what Kewlan, i have been thinking the same thing. oh by the way i did the same thing with some old friends years ago playing around city trial for hours , since then i moved and stuff.
A kirby air ride Re make/sequel is something i wanted for years and am looking forward to, when i saw the latest nintendo direct with the new smash bros trailer i first thought that kirby was going to get a new game, then i thought he may be in mario kart, but no.... DECEPTION
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

I know, that Direct Made me really upset, but it also gave me some hope that Nintendo might actually make a sequel. I'm just kind of like "Nintendo knows Kirby Air Ride exists!"
A few years back, I hung out with an old friend of mine a lot! We played on his Gamecube several hours each day, and one of our favorite was Kirby Air Ride. Our favorite mode in it was of course City Trial, and we tried to unlock everything, had fun finding the "legendary" vehicles, and even role played as car merchants at one time. Man, that was great!
I miss it, and I can't really play that game anymore because we went different paths through life and whatever. I don't have a Gamecube or the game, and I wouldn't want to buy one for just that, so a sequel would be great! Just think of all the possibilities of it!
Same game mechanics, new content. If we got that, it would be an insta-buy day one. But there could also be online multiplayer in the three modes. Just think of it, online City Trial, wouldn't that be freaking awesome?! You go up against three other random people, play normally and get the best stuff you could, then battle for the first place in the game afterwards! There's so much more that could be added too, a new and maybe bigger city than before?
What are your thought and what would you like to see?
(And also, don't forget that it would be in HD!)
As much as I love Kirby Air Ride, I honestly don't think we'll see a second game in the series (well it's not a series yet), because it didn't get very good reviews
If you want to play online, either use an emulator and netplay, or get a Gamecube broadband adapter and use Warp Pipe, which allows to you play LAN-enabled Gamecube games online (there are only like three though I think, and Air Ride is one of them)
@PloXyZeRO dude I can't believe it! i haven't seen anyone who knows about warp pipe for a long time. i loved that place so much. im still proud of the fact that i was part of the scene, and was one of the few that got to play mario kart online before it was actually an online game. i heard that the software still works, but even if I could find a broad band adapter, i bet it would be even harder to find anyone to play with, though i wouldn't mind finding a couple for local matches.
do you remember when they had that big campaign to get nintendo to make star fox assault have a lan mode? i was so disapointed when they responded and said they were not going to, but at least they took notice and gave a response. i didnt even buy the game i was so mad, but now i wish i had. i bet we could've been much more persusasive if the miiverse had existed back then.
after that smash bros / mario kart/ kirby trailer, i would not be surprised if there was a kirby air ride type mode in mario kart, or if star kirby is at least a playable character with a level or two

I hope that's not the case and this ends being a hint on Kirby Air Ride 2 with Cross Platform play WiiU-3DS

that would be cool. but if there is going to be a new air ride game, i can't see it coming out this year. mario kart would destroy it and everyone knows it. if a kirby air ride game had came out during the first year of wii u i'm sure it would've been a huge hit. if they are going to do it, i'm certain it won't be until next year.
Kirby air ride 2 would be absolutely dope the game has monster potential. my favorite part of the first one was always busting my friends air rides XD
with balance machines, tight controls, more events, and additional features (perhaps ride jacking, power ups for rides and riders, better item functionality) this could be an A+ game.
Sorry, but I don't want a sequel to one of the worst games that I've ever played unless the broken controls are fixed.
Someone only tried the Slick Star
there, now it makes sense

YES YES YES! But Sakurai should focus on City Trial only. The other game modes weren't that fun..
They should make more City Trial maps, vehicles, events and stadium modes. It would also be nice if you could pick a copy ability (Fire Kirby, Ice Kirby etc.) before you start, and make it permanent for the whole match. It would be like picking a character. And of course, online.
They should add items too. Or better yet, the helpers, from Super Star.
In that game, you can turn the copy abillity you have into a helper. For example, you're fighter Kirby;so your helper will be Knuckle Joe. He will terminate every enemy in sight, and follows you around. You can turn the helper into a copy ability anytime.
It wasn't the best racer. The controls were a bit confusing, for example. And Top Ride was such a weak mode.
I'd rather see an F-Zero sequel, or Diddy Kong Racing 2 than Air Ride.
Also: I'm pretty sure Sakurai is done with the Kirby series. He makes plenty of great and original ideas, and it would be a shame if he spent his development time on a sequel, after Smash Bros.
