Some games are just harder than others. I manage to struggle in certain "easy" games but do very well in "brutal" ones. I don't think it's possible to be bad in all games though
It all depends on what type of games you are good in. For instance, I prefer logic and strategy, so SRPGs and puzzle games are somewhat easy for me, but I struggle in platformers and shooters

Yeah this is exactly my experience! ...someone could be really good at one game, and someone else really bad at it, or vice versa. LoZ:ALBW is the prime example for me... I died 32 times... Yet other much harder games I have much less issues with... you can't be good at all video games!

I'm almost the exact opposite: I strongly dislike RPGs, but I am a big fan of puzzle games, too. But I have no issues with platformers or shooters (my first ever shooter was Resident Evil: Revelations, and I didn't ever have any huge issues with it).
I used to play games years ago, and I almost always beat them. Now though; I've had my Wii U for 10 days, and I've already used 13 continues for New Super Mario Bros. U, and I'm only on world 4. Plus, In Arkham City, I not only haven't made it to Mr. Freeze yet, I have made only like half a dozen stealth takedowns, because it's too difficult. Both games are really hard for me, even on easy mode. Is this normal or am I really, really bad at games?
Action-heavy “twitch” games are probably a lot easier to play if you grew up with them and didn't stop playing them for a while. (Which there is no good reason to do, by the way. There's no productivity in it.) Mario games in particular take a lot of practice, and NSMBU is one of the tougher ones in terms of level design. Either way, don't feel self-conscious about your skill, because it's not like you game for a living.
I've committed hours upon hours of time to and hundred upon hundreds of lives to the story mode of F-Zero GX. I've completed many of them now, not because I'm good, but because I got better. Just playing means you're going to get better. I struggled with Super Mario Galaxy, now it's a cakewalk. Challenge just means you can get better.

You have the right to disagree with me and the ability to consider anything valid that I say; Please exercise both.
I never understood how people take pride in boasting about completing a 50+ hour game in 5 hours. It must mean they barraged past all of the good bits and ignored all the optional stuff. When you're paying 30-60 quid for a game, why would you want to rush through it?
Games should be hard for you to complete because when you do, you feel a sense of achievement. Otherwise you might as well be watching a film or tv show.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
