I sincerely got a problem with the philosophy of 'a game for everybody'. Super Mario Bros. wasn't a 'game for everybody', and yet it changed gaming forever. It looks like Nintendo is trying to do (force) something which can only happen spontaneously and without any effort. Taoists will understand what I am talking about.
Day by day I get more disappointed in the way things are going in the 'games world'. And I don't think I'll get a Wii U because of it.
Master Wizzy Don't give up on the Wii U. Look I am retro fanatic like you and I will hold on dearly to the "good ol days" of the NES and SNES but Nintendo is sure to have some great upcoming gaming experiences for us.
Be Content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.
Only a very few (dearly beloved) titles prevented me from selling my Wii for the second time (I bought one again when Metroid Prime Trilogy and Resident Evil (the Gamecube re-issue) were released), namely Donkey Kong Country Returns, Twilight Princess and the aforementioned games. But man, it's just not the same 'great' thing anymore when buying new games. For me, the real magic died out for quite some time now. And I really have the feeling that I am pursuing a carrot on a stick; looking for that something which surpasses gaming's golden age. It just will not happen, because it cannot happen....
