Yeah... I know this will offend some, but there's quit a bit of trolling in these forums. I've had mine since launch with no lockups or issues. I've seen quite a few posts where people are whining and complaining, but then later posting they don't have a WiiU.
I personally cant wait till Friday here in AU when I can finally get hold of my Wii U. I know my local EB Games had some of the games in stock yesterday and were expecting to receive the consoles today. Why cant they sell it!! LOL
Well I am getting ZombiU and Nintyland (free of course with Premium) but still cant decide on what other retail game to get. I have blops2 on PS3 so unsure if its worth getting it again and not really in to Mario sorry (please dont bash me!!)
Il be picking up the 32gb with zombie u...and hopefully NSMBU and Nintyland. Then il be on beans on toast for a couple of weeks lol il be skint! (",)
Out of those I'm getting NintendoLand but you'll see me in Miiverse.
I'll be owning* in BLOPS2, questin' in Trine2 and well, racing in Sonic Racing should you get those. Anyway, we're off topic now.

It's about 1GB which for me will take about 20-30 mins. Luckily I have a good connection but remember not to cut the power. Do NOT pull the plug! Dips in WiFi don't appear to be a problem but if you get impatient and mess around with the leads, you may well just brick your Wii U.
To pass the time of the download, Go walk your dog. Don't have a dog? Find your neighbours' dog, walk that.

My opinion: if you unplug ANY electronic while performing a system update, you DESERVE for it to brick. Because that is just stupid, it's always very clearly stated not to turn off a system while data is being written.
Yes, it's a long update, but would you rather spend an hour installing an update or have Nintendo had delayed it a month until the features were all ready? It's over before you know it. And if the internet signal isn't constant, you should still be fine; my internet always flickers and I had no problem with the update.

just throwing out my 2cents but if you do plan to cancel it at least let a friend know or ask someone you know incase they were looking to buy one and would have trouble getting theres that way you pass on that pre order to them
