Gaiden is FE2, correct? Back on the NES? FE1 and FE2 on NES are the only 2 I don't have. Couldn't find a proper translation for either of them (or the games for that matter).

As for FE6, I got the most recent translation that's been done on the game, which expounds upon the work of several previous partial translations. It might be the same one you had, but I tested out all the translations and played the first half hour or so of each game, and I was truly astonished at how well done they were. They felt like they were official localizations to be honest. But either way, as long as I can understand what's going on that's all I really care about. Did you ever play Heroes of Light and Shadow on DS? I hear that's a really good one...

Yeah, I don't know what nacho's talking about if he played the most recent translation. The official translation of FE7 is laughable compared to FE6 (In the first couple chapters I noticed several mistakes, my favorite being when Lyn "repeats" a line Sain said...but Sain either never said it, or he said it completely different from how Lyn said it...), while FE6 indeed sounds official. Plus I really got into FE6's story, though that could just be down to the script.

Also, I loved Fire Emblem Gaiden. I thought it was translated, though? I played it in English, at least...

Rebecca. The archer's name is Rebecca

I really hate losing units- part of my OCD completionist personality- I don't think I could just keep playing unless it was a really long fight and it was a unit that I wasn't particularly fond of. Anyways, I use Lowen too, he started out pretty weak but now he's getting beastly. I like Oswin though. Cla-chink, cla-chink, cla-chink... PKOWWW!!! ...cla-chink, cla-chink, cla-chink... lol. He's so awesome! Slow as they come and with the range of a yardstick, but he's a walking tank, and has saved Sain's butt a few times. In fact I almost lost Sain on the level where you recruit Lucius- those 6 cavalier that come gunning for Merlin (or whatever his name is- the merchant)... Ya. Sain was outmatched to say the least.

Erk is awesome too. Love that guy. I'm trying to keep all my people leveled up to a decent extent though (except for Matthew). Dorcas and Hector for my axe men. Rebecca and Will for my archers. Priscilla and Serra for healing, Lyn and Eliwood because they're main characters and I can't lose them (plus they're good for speed and double hits), Erk and Lucius for magic, Oswin and Marcus for frontline tanks, Lowen, Kent and Sain for muscle behind the tanks, Florina just because she's good for long distance travel and support attacks from terrain others can't access.

I just figured out yesterday the game has support levels and conversations. Discovered the Support option when I moved Eliwood next to Hector. Who all else has support conversations and what triggers the option? Cause I tried every combination and couldn't find any more

Well, I lost Canas, Lucian, and Oswin today, lol. My second playthrough, I will play hardcore, and not lose anyone. I just wanted to experience the game, and finish it to see the story my first time through. Oh yeah, I lost Rath, too.

Hector is a beast. He is a Great Lord, now, and barely takes any damage, except from bosses. His Res, and Def, are so high! I don't care too much about not having another axeman, because my promoted cavalry can use axes now. Marcus, and Lowen. Isadora is awesome too, probably my newest favorite. She comes with Silver weapons and can murder.

Rent, and Louise are fun. I just miss my favorite units of all time...Manaketes. Of course, since dragons haven't come back to the world yet, they aren't in the game (I'm guessing). I just love the dragons, though.

Support conversations, yeah. Later on in the game you can see who can talk to who, before you start a map. Around Chapter 23, 24, something like that. But, yeah, they don't pop up that often. I don't even really know that they do anything but provide some insight into the character's personalities.

And, did you guys know Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones is going to come to the WiiU eShop, as well? I learned that it has already released in Japan, and Europe, on Miiverse. Should be in NA soon, I hope.

I'm on Chapter 7 now. Getting close to where I quit before, and so far I'm convinced that I just had terrible luck last time...this is rediculously easy. I can't understate how long it's been since I have given a Strategy RPG this much attention, and while I had a couple close calls in chapter 5, otherwise I've just been sailing through this. The tutorial is better at explaining things than I remember, too. I know everything it's telling me already, mind you, but if I didn't, it shouldn't have been that hard to understand. I think I just didn't actually the text after a while...

Also, Fire Emblem Gaiden was fully translated back in 2009, just so you all know...

Just so you all know, support conversations are triggered by having two compatible units stand next to each other for a certain amount of turns. Not everyone can support each other, and it often takes many turns to unlock a support. Depending on the element, they give bonuses to defense, critical, attack, and so on when the units are close to each other. They also give you a bonus ending if you get a level A (3 supports) support with two characters.

I'm at the very last battle of my very first Fire Emblem game ever! (The Sacred Stones).

Love the story in this one and once i'm finished I plan on getting the FE that's available on the Wii U eShop.

Alright, I just finished Chapter 8. I'm pretty sure that was where I quit last time, and...it was tough. Really tough. I had to restart it twice, both times because I lost Kent, so on the third try I took him out of the party and left it all up to Sain, who didn't get hit the entire fight despite being the vanguard. Wow. Why is Kent always built up as the better of the two again?

It's been a while since I played, but doesn't Kent have the much more rounded, balanced stats?

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Not so far. So far he's the same level as Sain, but he hasn't been as useful. About the same amount of strength, and he double attacks more often, but he misses more, gets hit more, gets crit by enemies more...in fact, he's one of the only two of my units to be hit by a crit thus far...the other one was the Pegasus Knight (who lived to tell the tale, surprisingly...unlike Kent). And Kents been Crit twice...

Ok I just played up to Chapter 6 and Sain and Kent are both Lv5. Sain's Str and Luck is higher, but Ken has the higher HP, Skill, Spd, and Res. Their Def is the same.

And Florina at Lv4 is better or just as good than both of them in everything except HP and Str...

You can get screwed by the RNG sometimes, especially in the early chapters in the game. Early on, your characters most likely won't have great speed or skill, so they won't be able to double very often and will be much less accurate. If you keep with it and level them up, those problems disappear for the majority of the game.
