the master sword would actually count down how many kills you need like the others. I have no clue how many I need to unlock that skill and no please don't tell me what it is
You first need to get all other powers before the MS unlocks so that you can countdown the kills
All other powers? I just beat Legend mode but also just unlocked Ganon. What other powers are there?

Adventure mode contains these things which contribute:
4 unlockable characters
4 unlockable weapons
Several upgraded weapons (level 2 and 3)
Many Skulltulas which in turn upgrade the Apothecary
In short, I'd expect you'd need to fully complete adventure mode to get the kill lock to start counting.

Really? What's so special that you need to play through the whole game under the small little rectangle? Is it what was mentioned above a few posts ago?

When doing what I suggested a few posts earlier the note says:
Seal requires the power of all weapons. Now I don't know if that means needing all characters and level 1,2 and 3 of each weapon or just unlocking all characters and level 1 of each weapon which would still mean doing most of adventure mode given their locations. As for what is behind the seal, I don't have a clue but I'm having trouble getting to 2 of the level 1 weapons.

If anybody wants to know what exactly to do or what it is can always look for the completionist review, they talk about it in there
Everything can change, but I'm never changing who I am
Having such a blast with this game. My daughter finally started playing yesterday, and thankfully took a liking to Ruto (whom I can't stand) and so she is finally getting leveled up!
Anyone want to friend me for this game just send me a msg. Would like to see what helping network links as friends really does.
Also as an FYI, I've seen that 25k kills thing pop up on other lvl 3 weapons. (don't consider that a spoilter...) so it's isn't limited to just the 1.
edit: hmm will put my Nintendo network ID in profile since I don't see a way to msg ppl on the board...
Did anyone see a mechanic in place where you can switch between adventure maps? I mean, I already like the adventure map already but once I found all the characters (don't ave a clue on where to find them really) what's the point of having a new map if there's no rewards linked to them?

By completing all the iIllustrations (collecting all the skulltulas) you unlock special reward maps, one for each having five in total. You get the option to switch to the rewards map when you complete the first illustration. These maps offer an even harder challenge then normal

This game has become an even bigger time sink for me than I was prepared for. And I don't think I'm going to be able to finish adventure mode before thursday. Stupid job.

You make it sound like it's a bad thing.

The quantity of content in this game is insane, I was thinking the illustrations were only special artwork to look at (I'm 2 pieces away from completing one of them).

It's rare that games today have so much content, even without DLC
What exactly do I need to do to get the 2nd gold skulltula to appear in adventure mode? I tried killing 2000 dudes and capturing every outpost but that didn't work.

Either before you start the mission, or while paused during the mission, go to Warrior Info, then Check Skulltulas. It'll usually list the requirements to make it appear. It's usually to kill 1,200 enemies before taking four hearts of damage.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
