Didn't see anybody cover this yet, but once again Nintendo is treating a game demo like winning the lottery and select stores - looks like Best Buy mostly - will have or do have a playable demo for Hyrule Warriors.
never understood this behaviour of not spreading things as much as they can, but instead going for this small randomic events.... why don't distribute a demo on eshop? bah... still asking myself if at Kyoto they got some powerful magic mushrooms in the noodles....
Good to know. There is a demo near me. I may go after work. Not going to sway my decision (already paid off) but it will be nice to get some gameplay time in.

I think they make deals with retailers

From what I understand, the kiosks at such stores are actually a variant of the retail hardware, making the demos found on it to be incompatible with anything other than that variant.

Woo! Just called my local store and they'll be getting the playable demo soon. Thanks for the heads up!
Question: Anyone know if you can pre-order the digital version of Hyrule Warriors from any of these 3 retailers and get the respective pre-order bonus costumes?
I'm also thinking if the costumes DLC is confirmed to come to the eShop soon, then I might just buy the game straight off the eShop anyway... no tax there, so it'll cost flat $59.99. In stores with tax, it'll come to close to $65. So it's like buying the DLC anyway, if I'm just considering money out of my pocket. Plus DDP points.
Right there with you. I think GameStop will let you pre-order the digital version, but I am not sure.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@arnoldlayne83 For once I agreed with you. Nintendo always seems to have a knack in doing things weirdly. It's like they are afraid of advertising... One of the decision that intrigued me the most is them choosing not to reveal the "new" 3DS in E3 in favor of a Direct. My little mind just can't comprehend the decision making in Kyoto.

Just got back from a GameStop that had it already. Loved it. I can't wait to get my own copy and bump up the difficulty, but even on the standard level, I did have some challenge with the boss guys with their shields and piercing attacks.
Also, my fears of framerate drops and enemy pop-in/pop-out are squashed. SO GLAD. (I love me my Warriors Orochi, but that game had really, really bad enemy pop-in/pop-out, so I was worried). And the frame rate was steady all through. I noticed a little pop-in on landmarks in the far distance, but that was it.
Definitely buying this game. Can't wait to dive into the meatier parts and RPG elements.
Nice, any other first impressions from people that played the demo?
I saw it at the Nintendo Store in NYC. Looks pretty good. Those of you in the area should check it out if you haven't already.
Cool, going to check that out after work.

They had it at my Target but someone had broken the Gamepad so the analog stick was constantly moving left unfortunately. I was somewhat hamstring whilst playing to say the least.
