Okidoki, I'm quite new to the wii u world and have been looking at certain games and am a tad confused and wondered if anyone could clear something up for me. I've seen reviews and comparisons on games (I'll use watchdogs as the example) between ps3-wiiu-ps4 etc and they all say the game is basically the same as the ps3 with awful resolution. My question relates to how watchdogs is 13.5gb on ps3 22gb on ps4 but also 22gb on wii u. If the game is the same quality as the old gen why is the file size the same as next gen? There are many games where the wii u version is much bigger than other versions and it had me confused as everyone seems intent on proving the wii u is low quality.
Also, I'm not looking to start any turfwar about which console is better and why as I love all of them for their own unique reasons. There seems to be way too many fanboy arguments out there and it annoys me as people should be focusing on enjoying the games not bashing other systems (rant over lol)
Poor optimization or data compression would be my guess. Though that's hardly an excuse for Ubisoft at this point. They are very familiar with the Wii U's hardware by now and even delayed the game by 6 months.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

It's a shame company is like that are doing so as it gives people the impression they are getting a far superior product by it being on par file size with the next gen equivalent
The assets that are packaged with the game can be of far higher detail than how the game is rendered--this is how PC games can scale from 800x600 to 4K by simply changing a configuration.
