A huge Miiverse update is on its way and it's going to add cool new features, but even more strict post restrictions...

Sleek New Design.

Negatives

Can No Longer Post Messages in Your Activity Feed.
Maximum of 30 Posts & Comments Combined Per Day.
More Strict Posting Guidelines. "Already in Effect".

While the new features look incredible the lack of being able to post non-gaming messages without breaking Miiverse's ToS and the laughable post limit will seriously hamper Miiverse and not in a good way...anyways what do you guys think about the upcoming update?!

@Jazzer94 It's being advertised in a banner at the top of Miiverse. Just boot it up on Wii U and you should spot it right away.

Fair enough was just checking to make sure this wasn't more of a rumour, sounds interesting and I never post 30 times in one day so not bothered by that.

Um...I never post anywhere near 30 posts a day so I'll be fine, but I understand why some people might not like the rule.

What is does the "game journal" imply?

To be fair, those negative points are highlated as different approches, no more activity feed cause of the new gaming diary and the 30 daily posts will replace the time limit between posts (it's pretty much a different anti-spam approch I guess).

Not that I feel involved, I leave less then 10 posts a year on miiverse, I doubt they'll ever put a limit too strict for me XD
But I'll probably use the album, finally a storage for save screenshots without needing to make pubblic posts on Miiverse.

Um...it looks like you can use it as a diary or journal to track your progress in each game.

You can write down notes as you play the game, and then read it later. I guess it helps if you are writing a review etc.

The post limit is a bit off. I'm sure there's parents out there who would rather have there kids socializing on Miiverse than on Facebook (or similar).
Nintendo seem to be getting quite heavy handed with Miiverse rules lately, I just hope they don't go too wild with it and completely ruin it for those who do use Miiverse regularly.

What's the point of a screenshot album that you can't share?

I just updated my first post...it turns out that users will be limited to a combined total of 30 comments and posts per day...this is just...FACEPALM

The 30 post limit is only going to hinder all those kids without any other form of social network who do things like wage war against admin and use it as a dating site. For the intended purposes, the limit shouldn't have much of an effect on Miiverse.

I exceed the limit all the time just commenting on peoples posts in communities and helping them out. FACEPALM

Also it appears that messaging friends will also count towards the 30 post/comment limit, which is just...WOW.....FACEPALM
