I think we all know that the Holy Grail for Nintendo is Pokemon. I'm not really sure where Nintendo would be had it not been for the explosion of Pokemon in the late 90s, which has carried the huge success of Game Boy systems and now the DS systems.
But I think it's fair to say that Nintendo has missed a huge opportunity for years and years to capitalize on the popularity of their franchise. I think they are afraid of splitting the market or making Pokemon on the handheld irrelevant. Well, here's an idea, don't make an RPG! There's just so much potential here for Nintendo to make tons of money, I don't understand their reluctance.
Anyway, what would your Wii U Pokemon game be? Mine would essentially be Power Stone mixed with Pokemon, with full online play and ranked matches that would allow you to use your 3DS collection.
Just make a Online Pokemon Arena U.. and maybe a Snap U... that would do fine with Pokemon... and since there is TS tech on the Wii U.. maybe talk to Tecmo Koei to help with a Pokemon Conquest U.. or something..
I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...
But I'm also interested in revisiting the world of Pokemon Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. I really liked how it was like a post-apocalyptic world. It was a strange premise for Pokemon, but that's why I like it so much. I'd like to see that make a comeback and be improved upon too.

Card game, toys, games, merchandise...what am I missing here? They capitalized on it a lot.
As for the Wii U, a game set up like Colosseum and XD GoD
I meant with the consoles. Not that Wii struggled, but Gamecube had a rough go of it. I think the Pokemon products for those consoles should have been there to help sell the system. It's been their most popular brand for more than 15 years now, but they've never had a console game that sold systems. I just think it's a no-brainer.
I don't think it would be all that harmful to make Pokemon Z a WiiU exclusive either. Pokemon X would have it's own exclusive Pokemon, Pokemon Y will have it's own exclusive Pokemon, and just like from one to the other it's impossible to catch em all without trading, Pokemon Z would have it's own new exclusive pokemon. It would basically be the same game in HD with more of a focus on trading and battling online rather than locally from linking systems together, or maybe you'd have a NFC Pokeball you could store a Pokemon in to take to your friends house and battle by brushing it up against his gamepad.

I still have my cards!
also, nintendo should make pokemon stadium U(with minigames and a 3DS tower to stream the portable games on the TV) AND pokemon snap U(all they have to do is make it as good as the first!).

The gamecube showed that a console pokemon wouldn't do anything especially since it wouldn't be a Game Freak game. They've already said that they will never make a console pokemon game.
Honestly they should make a TCG game for Wii U similar to magic 2014.
WAT!

So how about a Trading Card video game that starts a new line of cards with NFC? You could swipe the card you bought in a pack over the gamepad and have it in-game to play online! This would make for some thick, expensive packs of cards though...

I'd buy this before even thinking!!!(if I had the money and the console)

Yea, a trading card game sounds fun. Magic 2014 and its predecessors are really fun games, even though you don't actually get access to all of the Magic cards (is that even possible? ha!) If they were to make a Pokémon TCG for the Wii U, I think that would rock. TCG seem to be popular again - look at Hearthstone for the PC, as well. And Nintendo would add in the ability to purchase cards and scan them in; I'm sure some of us would be a bit upset, but they would definitely make a ton of money.
