Topic: How will Devil's Third's Multiplayer hold up?

Devil's third has been on the mind lately and just recently among the aspects i'm concerned about are its popularity and the quality of its multiplayer. I would post this in the official(?) thread made after the game's announcement, but I feel this topic is of particular importance. Devil's Third being the mature game it is, particularly it's extremely violent and gruesome nature will be a significant wall to overcome in the Wii U market. This has everything to do with its success economically of course, but also very much with the longevity and stability of its multiplayer. This feature of the game most certainly looks the part, offering up a great variety of game modes, weapons, and a wealth of other content, but I fear that one thing or another could hold this game back. On the one hand a lack of sales will make for a small and perhaps inconsistent player base. On the other if the multiplayer has glaring flaws such as being "half-baked" or serious balance issues there will be much disappointment and an uncertain future for Devil's Third as a multiplayer game. Do you think the game will be a success? Are you looking forward to the multiplayer portion of the game? Maybe you aren't? Please feel free to share your opinion on what I believe to be a very real concern for the game.

I am personally very interested in the multiplayer. The trailer last year was interesting with the map creator, potential air strikes and customization. It very much felt like a third party mashup of COD and Battlefield.

I also remember the developer saying the game has changed quite a bit since the last E3. I'm interested in seeing what it looks like now.

The fact that the visuals were the main criticism of the game after E3 last year left me a little worried as what we've heard of development since has been about how the game is looking better rather than a focus on the games performance. From what we've seen there was a little bit of frame drop here and there though nothing very serious and I'm not sure what fps the game will run at. Here's to hoping for a mostly smooth 60 fps. I personally am looking forward to the game as well. Both multi and single. I just hope that it becomes a game worthy of praise much like Bayonetta 2 was.
