Topic: How to access different region on Virtual Console?

Is there a way to access the North American Virtual Console in the Wii U, if you're in the UK PAL region? The reason being because a few of the games here are still running in 50hz, which is 17.5% slower than the original 60hz, and some even have black bars at the top and bottom, squashing the visuals.

I think the only way is to buy a US Wii U and use that. The hardware is region locked AFAIK.
