I'd assume not many on Wii U but I'd expect on Xbox 360 and PS3 that there's still many thousands. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure there's still at least 2000 players on there during peak hours(at the very least), but I haven't played it for like 6 months. That's just how it's always been, so that's why I think it is still like that.

I just checked, and there are 1570 players online. I've been thinking of playing it lately.

Ya. There are still more people on BO II than Ghosts. Hardcore teamdeath match and other modes are basically dead on Ghosts, but I'm honestly not that surprised.

Call of Duty: Ghost is a pretty average game and the multi-player isn't all very impressive therefore I am not surprised that the population count is very low whereas Black Ops II has the most popular map in the entire Call of Duty franchise, Nuke Town, and is actually a pretty good game in its own right too.

My friend plays Black Ops II every once in a while and he never has any problems finding a match.

As for the OP question in regards to Batman Arkham City or Origins, I would choose the latter, especially if you have already played the former on the Xbox 360; other than the GamePad support, there is nothing new to offer (returning players). Origins has the best boss fights in the Arkham series too, and its portrayal of the Joker is very, very good.

I actually liked Ghost's campaign more than BO II. I didn't like the strategy part of BO II. I basically quit once I got to that part. The online modes are about equal to me, except that BO II has more players. I played BO II online today and yesterday, and I think there are around 1,500 players at peak times. It's not like it is so barren that it's impossible to find a match.

There was only one hardcore TDM in the world in Ghosts, multiple times, and the lag was unbearable. Oh well.

The maps on BO2 are more varied than Ghosts. I found all the Ghosts maps to be very grey, samey and far too big. Nuketown 2025 is a brilliant update of the classic and it's a shame it didn't arrive sooner - but at least it was a free map, as was the "Freefall" map for Ghosts! I thought that was decent of Activision to do that.

@Grumblevolcano: I forgot that!! Makes sense to release those two anyway since they were pre-order bonuses on other formats.

Ya. Activision promised DLC for BO II, then hardly anyone bought it. That is when they broke their promise. I recall them temporarily having some gun skins as DLC on the eShop, too, and said everyone with BO II that also bought Ghosts would get some skins, but the skins got taken down on the eShop and no one ever got the gun skins they said people would get from Ghosts, for BO II. I already knew I was done with CoD right there, regardless of platform, especially with games like Titanfall that were already a step ahead in some ways, IMO. There's just no reason to buy CoD every year, for me, but I'll still make due with the ones I have, because I do enjoy some FPS action, every once in a while, even though it can be samey.

Ghosts wasn't even a complete game w/o the extinction DLC, so Activision can eat their s***, and I know that's how it was being on every platform.
EDIT: They also promised FreeFall on day one for Ghosts on Wii U, as well, then took back that statement after pre-orders were in. There was also a lot of confusion surrounding that.

That is why no one should even care about whether Wii U gets CoD games, anymore, IMO, especially if people are going to buy it on Xbox or PS, anyway. That's why not many people were caring about CoD on Wii U, to begin with, because most of the CoD fanbase didn't want to play it on Nintendo, regardless, and the proof came from BO II. Ghosts on Xbox One and PS4 was basically the same as last gen, so all the criticism Wii U got for running a 7th generation version of BO II was basically BS the whole time, especially since it was a year before. It just gives more reason for everyone not to care, either way.

@MaseSco
That really comes down to preference. I still enjoyed some of Ghost's maps a bit more, but they're mostly equal for me. The castle map was good in Ghosts, IMO, and so was the Ghost Town looking area. NukeTown 2025 is mostly a respawn kill match on either end, from my experience, so I don't care much for it, but sometimes that's how Hijacked is, too, so it just depends on how the match is going for me to like the maps.

I cannot speak for Call of Duty, but out of the two Arkham games I would take Origins if you were finished with City. If you are new to the series however, I would recommend City over Origins. The story and gameplay of City is just better done, especially the unlock system.

With Origins, if you don't do everything exactly as the game developer expected you to when it comes to objectives you can find yourself stuck. Specifically one challenge that requires a setup that only exists once a playthrough. That would be a problem, except it locks you out of a gadget that makes the challenge mode easier to handle. There is also a bug that can prevent you from getting 100% completion credit, even if you have 100% completion and a few game loading bugs that allows you to fall through the map.
