I like to finish everything a game has to offer, and that's why I like trophies. I've been playing Kingdom Hearts at the moment and I've already put 100 hours into the game, all I've got left to do is finish the last boss then I've done everything the game has to offer. Now because there trophies left to do it gives me an excuse to go back and play it another two times for the platinum, as I don't sell my games I may go back and finish them now or a few months later. My Wii U games I've done to 100% also, but no matter what a some point I like to go back and play my games again like ZombiU, NSMB.U etc I'm like that with most of my games. Also obviously you can remember how good a game was, but if you go back and play it again in say 6-12months time. It'll be better than you remembered it or little bits you'll think, I don't remember that.

Nicht zu danken!

Thanks to you for sharing your completion habits too. I hate when a huge backlog pressures you into racing to beat a game just to mark it off your list. There are games that deserve that you take your time enjoying them.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

It's very rare that I bother with %100-ing a game (not that many track that easily). I think the last was Lego Star Wars on the Wii (which cured me of ever wanting another Lego game again - until Lego City), however I find I have the desire to do so with Super Mario 3D World - if only because it feels achievable (primarily using Peach I have all gold flags, stars and stamps with only the three bonus levels in "Crown World" remaining) and Lego City for the same reason.

Other games I recognise my limitations, but I might dip in and out of: I have all but one car unlocked in Need for Speed Most Wanted U and I'm slowly upgrading my favourites by getting gold in all the races. Other games I'm pretty content to simply play through and do the odd standalone mission (Ninja Gaiden).

I'm old school though with an arcade background so I like to have a lot of games I can play for five minutes and stop like Contra III on VC. I do try to avoid buying multiple time-intensive games at once however, so I didn't buy Super Mario 3D World until I had finished the story in New Super Mario Bros. U and I'm not going to get Deus Ex until I finish Darksiders II.

Consequently having a gap between major releases suits me very well as it gives me time to enjoy all the games I have more fully. Heck I haven't finished story mode in Warriors Orochi 3 yet!

I don't see where people get the time to play all these games.... I think I'm more of a collector in that I'll buy a game, play it for a while, then pretty much just focus on my favorite ones and pull out the others when I'm bored. I'll play more now that football season is over.... and then even more after college hoops is over. Mid April through Aug. is a slow time of the year for me & (in part why I bought a Wii U in the first place).....

Since people are constantly demanding more and more games, do you even finish the ones you own, and HOW do you finish them ?
Is a quick run through enough for you ? Are you doing some side objectives too ? Or do you even aim for 100% completion ?

I always play my games to 100%. Unless it is a mediocre game like AC3. I basically rushed through the entire game and trade it in for something else.
