Topic: Hint at achievements on the Wii U?

Did anyone also get the feeling that Nintendo is REALLY strongly hinting at the features in the game? look at the other text boxes, for example:
"A baby Yoshi that balloons up to carry you? Too cute." "OK, being a flying squirrel is WAY more fun than it should be!"

I never said I owned the thread, nor do I have any problem with anyone coming in and sharing their different opinion. All I said is that there's irony in you complaining when I question your find when the first thing you did upon entering the thread was question mine.

All I did was answer your "reasons why what you said could be wrong". I'm not saying that the hint I found is a confirmation or anything like that, but I do think it's a hint.

Except that I'm not being defensive and I haven't been complaining about your criticism of my thoughts on the New SMB image. The way I see it a comment saying "999 coins, only 1 more to go!" is nothing more a comment about someone being 1 coin short of something which isn't that strange a thing in a game. That's all I pointed out and then you go and do a lengthy defensive rant about it.

As I said, you don't own the thread you create bro. I just pointed out a list of possible reasons why what you said could be wrong, no need to get so defensive about it.

Yeah, you just said that I should accept your discovery and accept that mine is wrong. Or am I misinterpreting you? You did say that I shouldn't attack your point while "clinging" to my own didn't you?

Really? You wouldn't find it at all strange that someone knew exactly how many coins they collected in a series that has never really had a coin counter that went past 100? And it wouldn't be weird that they were particularly excited to get their 1000th coin? Fair enough. I feel the same way about seeing a time trial award in a Mario game. I'm not retaliating. I really did notice the award in the video, and passed it over for being nothing out of the ordinary.

Sorry if my "rants" were too long, but that's just how I write. I generally write long sentences, paragraphs, and responses in general. I wasn't being defensive, just responding to your points against my point.

I was about to say the same thing. If this is anything to go by there could be a flying squirrel power up and baby Yoshis in the next Mario. More interesting for me. Hoping this turns out way way more fun than the other nsmb.

Maybe 3DS could have achievements, I'd like to have an achievement for random stuff I do in games... Like I went on a swoop koopa throwing spree on MK7 and I'd like to get an achievement for doing that

I don't think they necessarily mean accomplishments in the same sense that you're thinking of achievements. It certainly doesn't seem that way to me, going by that quote alone.

That has nothing to do with achievements/trophies, Pengaweeno. They probably just meant it as a way of saying "see how much your friend has progressed" or something like that. You know, the generic use of accomplishments. If they meant otherwise, they would've capitalized the word "Accomplishments", probably with a ^TM at the end, too.

Nintendo would have announced achievements if achievements existed. It's a big feature. Nintendo's not a stupid company. Only stupid companies leave big features off major marketing campaigns. E3 is a major marketing campaign.

I hope you all see the logic train going on here. Because this thread is only marginally better than "the moon landing was faked" right now with all the faux analysis going on from one picture.

Nintendos always had achievements and they have had beat a level in under 100 sec before. It's just this time it seems like an achievment of a different quality because ur social and other people can see ur accomlishments
