I would gladly accept your advice... if it didn't end in hours of work, being abducted, or going to jail.

For some reason I found this really funny.

How do you think you can get money in future if you aren't going to work to earn it? Are you trying to win lottery?
I earned money enough to buy 3 Wii U by working about 20 days in summer 7 hours per day and also earned some extra money by mowing lawns and I quite enjoyed my job. I recommend getting a job.

I mean yeah, I was obviously kidding with the last two, but...you're not going to be able to plant a dollar and grow a Dollar Tree. (har har)
Sell some of your games/systems. It's how I nabbed two 3DSes for the price of one when they first launched.

I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
Yet Another Update: Also Amber and Xiao Pai from Rune Factory 4.

Cutting out meals like dinner is the way to go for getting a console, also skip breakfast and put the toast/cereal money into a savings jar, slim your way to gaming bliss!!!

there's nothing that's certain... of that you can be certain

Thank you for the advice, but I'm not sure if a handmade gaming guide would sell. What do you guys think?

Man all that change must weigh a ton if it totals to over a thousand bucks! :o

Oh believe me, it did. It was kind of embarrassing going to the bank having to change a thousand bucks in spare-change over to bills. lol

I've actually done that several times, and I need to do it again... But never that much at once!

Heres a trick that used to work for me as a kid:
1. Open an lemonade stand at a park, or near a mall.
2. Have a cute little girl help sell the lemonade, and use her to draw in sucker.
3.. Have Lemonade cost a dollar, but, everything else cost $5, like straw, napkins, and cups. Don't tell them that it cost that much, just ask if they want one, if yes, charge of total of items they ask for. This in the marketing business is called an Up-sell. It is an attempt to sell the customer, additional, or more expensive goods, or services.
4. If they refuse? Well make them feel guity, no one wants to make a little girl cry, don't they, so they will have to pay.
5. Profit, you'll be making about $80 dollars a day, and much closer to getting your Wii U.

Quite frankly your options are basically get a job or saving up money. Option 1 will definitely get you money quicker, but option 2 is easier.
Do you really need a WiiU at launch day? If you need to save up money like this, then when will you buy games and what will you buy them with? My advice is to wait.

Wouldn't it be faster to just go around smashing pots?

To add to what CEO Jumpmad said maybe bake brownies or cookies to go with it people are usually suckers for baked goods, especially anything chocolate. If you can't get the money together tell your parents your saving for one and maybe if you work hard helping around the house and at school they might get it for you for Christmas or your birthday.

I started saving the 5 bucks I earn a week when the Wii U was announced. It built up to hundreds of dollars. I'm a kid still, just so you know.

Or you can bake & hand out "SPECIAL" brownies... & when I mean "SPECIAL" I mean that good stuff! Think like Steven Hyde from That 70's Show! And then you get to feel silly & funny; or even guilty & stupid afterwards when you, your friends, or even parents are all "HIGH as a KITE" LOL! ;)
