Honestly that is probably your best bet. If it was with a game I could say maybe check the disc, redownload the game etc. but its the Internet Browser so the only thing I can suggest is check your internet settings, check you connection and if that's all good but you are still having problems contact Nintendo.

If you are browsing unsavory websites that'll do it. Also keep in mind that the Wii u doesn't support all web technologies. I.E Java, silver light,.etc may cause the Wii u to freeze. It's possible that you might have something attached to the Wii u that might be starting to fail thus causing the Wii u freezing.

Did you mean to imply "stop watching porn!" ? XD

Ha.yep. If all else fails he could just wipe the Wii u after backing up his games/data.

I'm very disappointed in you @Munchakoopas that was a very disrespectful and distasteful joke on your part.

On-Topic: @Mr-X9000 Is your console well ventilated and do you make sure to dust off the outside of your Wii U with a can of pressurized air? Overheating and dust getting into your Wii U are the most common reasons for the console to freeze frequently like that.

How much space is there between your console and obstructions? You should have at least a 12" clearance in all directions "ideally 24" clearance" to allow for proper ventilation. As for dusting using a dustbrush/duster isn't a good way of dusting off the console as dust will likely enter the console doing it that way. Always use pressurized air to remove the dust, also keep the can a good 8-12" away from the console when spraying so it doesn't freeze the frame of your Wii U.

Freezing with a buzzing noise means that there is something seriously wrong. It couldn't be caused by just little dust, bad ventilation, or even (not saying it, not saying it). Just send it to Nintendo. The sooner you do it the sooner it comes back.

@ryanator008 Uh...no it doesn't.
If there is any sound when a Wii U freezes it'll make a buzzing or beeping sound through the TV speakers. xD
