I don't think it will come to the Wii U (or any Nintendo console, given their sometime uneasy relationship with gaming controversies).
But to be honest, I sort of hope it does get released on some games consoles. Because as much as some people will absolutely crucify me for saying this, gaming needs to be more (not less) controversial.
If TV, and films, and literature, and every other media can have 'offensive' works released and even become popular, then a game with bigoted views should be fine as well. Would I buy it? No. Would I agree with the developers? No. But gaming needs to be more open to controversial content like other forms of media is.
Though I don't have an invested interest in the game, and dread the media backlash the whole game industry will come under upon release, games are still art.
and unlike the Postal series, this game does actually look like more than a quick cash grab.

I never even know this game existed until I read this thread and googled it. I remember buying the game Postal (similar to this one) back in the mid-90's and loving it, and his game looks 100X worse/better. I will definitely keep an eye out for this one!

Why? Unless you want gaming to die and get more idiots on board of "gamz ar evul/sexizt/razizt". Your argument about "it's on TV, then why no gamez?". Well, if games, then why not board games? Or Legos? All with decapitations, blood, anti-religion messages and other controversial topics (actually, it could make chess even more awesome). Gamers were, and still are, made into murderers, and not only that, but apperently according to some "individuals", male gamers are... you know.
Controversy for the sake of controversy or "why not" stands for nothing, it is idiotic. And no, gaming doesn't need to be open to controversies - the game MAIN point is entertaiment. If you want to kill gaming and have lazy, poorly written, without taste, idiotic and downright offensive crap like Depression Quest, then go ahead. But don't say nobody warned you.

I don't think Postal really was a cash grab at that point making anything took significantly more effort than it does now. (For an indie anyway).

Talking more about the sequels, specifically Postal 3.

That was a mistake by them could be compared to the cdi Zelda and Mario games. (They didn't do very well out of it or do any of the programming for it).
There's being controvertial, and then there's just being depressing and sick. I don't want it to be banned no more than I want Lolipantsu manga or Grindhouse movies banned, but I would liked it tucked away in a little area where I don't have to acknowledge its existance.

Woah woah woah, you don't like Grindhouse flicks? Planet Terror is my jam

I don't think it is coming to the Wii U, but seeing as Nintendo allows almost everything to pass I don't think it would have a problem doing so.
I really don't care about the violence being over the top, hateful and just all around pointless, its a video game and that kind of stuff has been in gaming since the dawn of time. The thing I hate about this game is that I'll have to see this in the news media as a game that is "destroying INSERT COUNTRY" and is causing violence and crime which we all know is boulder dash but to the soccer mom's with nothing else to do but watch TV and yell at little Timmy to "Take the shot" they'll just latch on to it and create a whole giant mess that I'm not willing to put up with anymore. However, kudos for the game to try and push the envelope a little bit farther even with the whole recent debacles we've been having lately with the atrociously confusing and uninteresting gamergate fiasco.

I seriously don't get why people would make/play such a game. Isn't there already enough hatred in this world? But yeah, let's focus on it even more in our free time.

Well I'd never heard of this game until I saw the thread, but I highly doubt this will ever grace a Nintendo console.
I'm all for games being controversial if there's a point that they're trying to get across (whether I as the gamer agree or disagree with it is not the point), but I just don't see the appeal of this game. This really just strikes me as 'look at me, look at me! I'm making a point and I'm so alternative to the mainstream' that it's boring and tacky.
In short: I'll pass on this, whichever form it takes on release.
