I was wondering if any existing WIi U owners have went all digital in regards to game purchases, or those who plan to get a Wii U (or any new system for that matter), Planned to try it.

I have. The only games I have on disc are Nintendo Land and COD, because I got NL free, and COD was only on disc.
One reason why I go digital, is because I get things on release day, so it will cost the same. I don't care for the case or disc, and Nintendo gives 10% back which beats both GameStop and Best Buy reward programs combined.

I've gone all digital. I have mixed feelings on it, though. Most people will cite how awesome it is to be able to change from game to game without having to eject and insert discs all the time, but to be honest I don't find myself doing that a whole lot. Usually when I sit down to game it's to concentrate on one game and that's it. The 10% back from the eShop is nice, but you could probably do better by always buying disc games through deals and the like.

Long story short, I would probably do it differently if given the chance again. I'm going to stick with it for my Wii U as I've already invested in the external hard drive, but for my PS4 or Xbone (whichever I end up getting) I'm definitely going back to discs.

I was Anti-digital on Ps3, and refused to buy digital on anything over £10...except dlc season passes.
I have on WiiU for several reasons, So as not to Wear out the optical drive, For the premium rewards and so I can easily switch games if I want to when upstairs in bed playing late at night.

Games make a great console, not technical specs.

It's the price that's stopping me.

as soon as i get a gaming PC, i'll be going all over steam. there just is not that much available for Mac on that place ): i still love my consoles for the exclusives, and i ONLY get console games at retail, unless the only option is to download, and even then i have to debate whether it's worth downloading.

When it comes to downloading retail games, there's a difference between portable systems and physical ones- the main motive for downloading is for convenience, in my mind. But, it's not as if you'll be carrying your Wii U around... as long as you have everything accessible, I don't see much point in buying from the eShop. For example, I (And most people I know) just keep all my console games in a drawer near my consoles themselves... so there's no issue. I'd much rather buy it in real.
On a side note, I'm downloading almost all of my 3DS games, now, just because I take it around with me, and it's significant to have the games with me all the time :3

It's severely outdated, but I guess you can look at it if you want. (?)

that is a good argument, but for me i just prefer shuffling my cartridges on my hands like i did in the old days good times.

I love getting discs but I download all of my games because of the digital deluxe promotion

I like physical copies. I like seeing all the different cartridge/disc designs and watching the collection build up on my shelves. heh.

I do miss the different cartridge colors pokémon games used to do though. Made them even more epic and you could always tell when someone was playing it.

I've gone all-digital now on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The only physical copy I have left is Kid Icarus: Uprising (if it comes to eShop, I plan to buy the download as a replacement). The reason why I have gone this way now is because I want to help the evironment to reduce waste.

I refuse to go all digital. The only games that I have that are digital are VC games because I can't get those games in a physical form on the Wii U.

No, infact, I'm being very picky with my digital stuff on Nintendo consoles. If any of them break, I could potentially lose everything, without a refund.

I really want to, but its hard with Wii U's gigabyte problems. I can't put my stuff in an SD card either. Also what if I lose my 3DS somehow? So I'm cautious with the whole digital thing. I can't wait until Nintendo makes downloading alot more comfortable.
Perhaps next generation I won't even need a disc drive or a cartridge slot.
