@Link79 No no no, Did you notice that all of those games that you just spit out are all first party. We miss out on a hellava lot of great 3rd party games.
@Kid_Crono I don't own a 360 but have play COD games on 360 soo much I wanna barf. I have given it a chance and I like the first Modern warfare but then the sequels didn't add much new its always the same and gets boring fast. Kill some people, respawn, kill some people,.... I wonder what im going to do know.. oh i remeber respawn and kill some more until i die

You just explained every game possible. Mario: You run from left to right, get score, and survive. Every level. Zelda: Dungeon, field, dungeon field. Metroid: Run around get missiles, kill stuff, etc.
Every game can be summarized like you just did with CoD. And if you really think no CoD is really different, just ask and I'll tell you specifically.

@ HawkeyeWii What first party can't be hardcore? I really don't feel I missed out on anything by choosing a Wii. I'm not into the Halo's or Call of Duty's anyway.

Mario and Metroid have been around for decades. CoD has been out since 2004. And it's the best selling game franchise of all time.

The reason I started this thread was to get hype out there for the new hardcore games to come for the 3DS and Wii U. And because I get all the time from people at my school about me haveing just a Wii and it sucks. I really wish I had any of the people that commented on this thread as a friend at my high school cuz no one here owns the fabulous console that is the Nintendo Wii.
People seem to really enjoy the "kill, die, lurk as a ghost, respawn" thing. I never really understood it but my brother usually shouts and lols and goes "OMG OMG OMG LOOK AT THAT I JUST KILLED THAT ONE GUY WHO KILLED ME 10 TIMES EARLIER" when playing these games.
Call of Duty has been out since 2003, that is plenty of time to make a change which they have not and will never change from an FPS. Have fun with the same old formula of kill be killed and respawn.. rinse lather and repeat my friend.
Heh, this thread made me google the actual definition of hardcore and Wildvine53 is right. There are only hardcore gamers. You learn something new each day. This Topic just seems to be about mature games.
