I just remember an accessory for the GameCube called Game Boy Player which enables Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance cartridges to be played on a television. Since Nintendo is not planing on releasing GBA games on the 3DS Virtual Console to anyone except for Ambassadors, maybe that's because their planing on releasing GBA games on the Wii U Virtual Console.
Nintendo mention several times that the Wii U is both a console and a handheld system and I can safely say that we are expect to be playing GameCube and GBA, both console and handheld gaming experiences on the Wii U.
Do you think GBA games will be available on the Wii U Virtual Console?
Gameboy Advance virtual console games will be on the 3DS. So will all the other handheld games. Wii U virtual console will have NES SNES N64 and GCN games. I know neither GCN or GBA have been confirmed, but seriously... think about it.
no. just no. Wii U is a HD system and the Gba has a low resolution screen. it works on 3ds, but not wii u
The Gamecube could output a resolution of 480 x 680 (4:3 ratio) yet it could play GBA games (240 × 160 resolution) via the gameboy player. Playing GBA games on the big screen is great, the Metroid games are much more fun to play on the GB Player.
Besides Nintendo could upscale or even fully remake some GBA games in a higher resolution to better scale to modern HDTVs.

I also remember saying that Nintendo wasnt going to rerelease the Super Mario 25th Wii SMA, and yet due to the demend they did rerelease it. I am sure that the GBA games will come out on the 3DS VC just not right away.

i think that would be an amazing idea. it would be cool if you could also transfer saved data between 3ds and the wii u so you could play on your tv and then on the go when you want. i know that unlikely but just an idea.
