Now that you remind me, there's been some WarioWare music I've liked over the years.
For me, it's Four Seasons from WarioWare, Inc. Mega Microgames. The song always sounded lovely to me, even though I wouldn't know what the lyrics meant until years later.
This. I love that music. Actually, I liked all the music in the original GBA game. I never thought it was "underappreciated", though.
Wario Land 4, although it's a hell of a lot more well known that it once was, and people seem to appreciate the soundtrack a lot more now.
For more obscure ones though... Wario Master of Disguise and Mario Pinball Land. For the former:
for the latter, maybe..
Both are awful games, but have great soundtracks.
Some could say this tech demo too...
It wasn't even officially released, announced or anything else. Just a Nintendo tech demo based on Peach's Castle meant to promote the power of the Gamecube.

Donkey Kong Land is underrated because personally I think it's the best game soundtrack ever
.......... mostly because it was one of the first games I was obsessed with. Also because Dave Wise is a legend. How many times do people mention Stickerbrush Symphony when talking about the best video game tracks ever?
If wére talking individual songs, that puzzle room in the middle of the Palace of Shadows in PM:TTYD and the Ice dungeon in Minish Cap are the best 90s JRPG songs that aren't actually in traditional JRPGs.
Going through the thread.... +1 for Ristar, outside of Donkey Kong it's probably my favourite in the thread thus far. Also, underrated or not, you can't talk about video game musics on the interwebs without mentioning two things. So I'll do them both in one video, Guile's Theme and Smooth McGroove

I agree completely, Smooth McGroove does things with his voice I thought to be impossible!

Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures has an amazing 8-bit soundtrack. I have it in my playlist on my phone.
But there is this one other track from Bike Rider DX (which is on 3DS eShop). This game's soundtrack as a whole is nothing too special, but there is one track that really stood out to me: the theme from the Ram Rider stages.
On topic though, Basically the entire soundtrack of Paper Mario TTYD is fantastic, which is a shame that it's so overlooked outside of Doopliss Battle and Title theme. The soundtrack for Kirby 64 is really good, and relatively overlooked. Stuff like "Quiet forest" and "Above the clouds", just, dang.
Twilight Symphony. Enough Said.

Odin Sphere, a thousand times Odin Sphere. The soundtrack is just brilliant!
Also, PLOK! Listen to the quality not even Nintendo could achieve on SNES! It's some really awesome stuff, and some tracks go on for several minutes without a loop!
Kirby's Adventure Wii (Return to Dreamland for NA), what a brilliant soundtrack. It's a shame that game's music is automatically attached in many people's mind to the horrific "Hungry Hungry Kirby" event in Smash Wii U (where "horrific" is a severe understatement).

Ye, agreed, but Plok's sound wasn't under appreciated at the time. It was very much praised.
