With Ghost Song failed to meet Wii U stretch goal and also again, other games unlikely to meet their goals like BiT Evolution and Speed Kills because of Gamer neglect

I feel Gamers need to do better to help kickstarted games come to the Wii U via fulfilling all it's stretch goals (especially it's Wii U stretch goal no matter how far down IT is)

Don't get me wrong, I realize people are doing just that with recent surge on Mighty No. 9 and to a certain degree for Shantae: Half Genie Hero (granted if gamers DO fulfill every single stretch goal of HGH)

What's more sad and depressing is that NL refuse to let anyone put a kickstarter thread on areas of the forum likely would look at (read: Wii U) yet let it rot on the "Other Gaming" forum pretending nearly all of the Kickstarters and Indiegogos for those games do not exist

Even if i did mirror that thread here, NL mods would lock it up in a heartbeat
Please forget about the Indiegogo scam brought upon by r-tards known as "Smosh" (The highest-payed YouTubers on YouTube - duh) and please make sure that more and more indie games ARE coming to the Wii U via fulfilling it's stretch goal

I realize there are games that are coming to the Wii U via successful Kickstarters and Indiegogos but that aside the point, We need to do more in order to shut up detractors of the Wii U

Nintendo needs to do a better in terms of getting gamers to buy Wii U so indie games have an audience to sell to

Battle.net - Dayman
Steam - RancidVomit86
PSN - RancidVomit86

Not really our problem to support kickstarters that didn't interest us. I'll pick up Ghost song on PC and the dev has said a console release isn't out of the question. Hell I didn't support Mighty 9 becuase its been an enomanus success and I just can't support a goal where PS4 isn't on the list. I will be supporting Shante next week at the $35 price point.

People donate to the games that interests them - if something fails it means not enough people cared, therefore it's barely a loss

People don't have to back any kickstarter they don't want too.
There's a couple of good reasons I can think of why these games aren't reaching their goals. It could either be that the people working on these games aren't promoting them hard enough, or that they're not making a game that people necessarily wan't to back.
If these indies want to succeed. Firstly, they could do early builds of the game they're making and get friends or family to try it out. It's always best to get an opinion from people not directly involved in making the game. Secondly, if the initial reaction is good enough, advertise theck out of it. The majority of gamers aren't gonna go to crowd funders if they don't know a game they could be intereeted needs help.
It also makes me laugh when some indies say that advertising is expensive, how much does it really cost to write up a good press and email it out to sites like this. If they make the effort, a good advertising campaign done in the right way is only going to cost them the time of writing up the emails, and having a good crowd funder page.

The team behind Steam World Dig started a forum topic on these boards and other sites while they were developing that game... Now it is rather successful

The best indies are those that actively go to forums like this one and try and get interview with guys from popular sites. Escpcailly the ones who don't have a already made fanbase like wayforward does. Plus getting in contact with the guys from the various first party developers can easily help.

For those who like Podcasts Nintendo World report has an Audio Interview with the developer of Steam World Dig.

They also just dig a big eshop interview with a ton of devs for both eshop that's four hours long.

To kick-start a game is to gamble that money away. It's not something you should be doing unless you're willing to lose that money. Claiming Gamers need to do a better job of putting faith in games that haven't been made yet is a little bit silly to say the least.

I also doubt the forum section would lead to much difference in the number of people who see the thread, especially considering Nintendolife has done many articles on Kick-starters that had Wii U stretch goals.

GENIUS! Also sega is paired with Nintendo for the time being so it will probably happen.

I'm not a charity. Kickstarter has over stayed it's welcome, in my opinion.

How can something that's completly optional overstay its welcome. Your statement doesn't even make any sense.

There's still plenty of hope for a Wii U Ghost Song: “To those who may be lamenting about the Wii U goal — I’m working to make this happen anyway. That’s not official, but it’s a desire of mine and I hope to have that out at some point, if not at release, then following release.”

I actually find it disgusting everything needs to be Kickstarted nowadays.

Ghost Song - To me didn't feel very polished for being a $15 dollar game and didn't feel like it was going to get better later on.
BiT Evolution - Doesn't really interest me.
Speed Kills - The Goal is $85,000 but for a Wii U version it is $255,000 Over 200% of the original goal. I am not going to back something with a ridiculous stretch goal for a Console Version. I understand that dev kits are expensive but for a $15 dollar game is it really worth it?

Those are my opinions you may have different opinions but you cannot say it is Wii U owner's fault when the creators are asking so much for a Wii U version. I feel a lot of Kickstarters throw Wii U or Vita versions onto impossible stretch goals just so that they get enough support for their original goal.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I dont like those whole kickstarter thing, because why should i pay for a thing i might never get. A normal company would need to go to a bank and get a loan, and now its kinda the trend that about every game needs donations. Well i just cant agree to this whole pledging for money thing. IMO of course

Well the nice thing about Kickstarter is that the company only gets the money if the goal amount is reached. So it does cut some of the risk for consumers but I do wonder what happens if a company goes under after a successful Kickstarter.
