Topic: GamePad signal problems

Now this problem has been apparent for around 2 years now, so I don't expect a fix, but I just want to see if anyone else has the same problem. My Wii U GamePad can't seem to go more than 2 feet from the console without losing the signal, which is strange because when I got the Wii U it could go very far away from the console. So, does anyone else have this problem?

I've actually had that problem before with mine. Perhaps it's a bit different and/or maybe you don't remember how/when it started, but I think I started having issues when I had some static electricity and got shocked when I touched the charging port on it. It seemed to have somehow done something with the gamepad so nothing could block it and I couldn't go too far away or it would lose the signal.
It may be a weird fix, but it seemed to start working again after I touched the charger port (also top or bottom ones work I think) after building up some static electricity. It may have taken a few shocks, but somehow I got it working again.

@yokokazuo Now that's a really strange story, but that's not how my problem started. I'm pretty sure it started when my friend dropped it onto the ground, though it might've been something else.

@Nintendoer haha, yeah I don't really know how to explain it.
Hmm, I guess something went wrong when it got dropped. I think you could send it in to Nintendo to have it fixed, but it may be a little expensive. (I think I've heard it costs around $70-100 or so?)

@yokokazuo Which is exactly why I haven't sent it in yet. Thanks for trying to help.
