Title says it all. Is this even possible?! My gamepad's range is literally 50% of what it was before the update. This immediately happened right after the update finished installing. I thought it was kind of weird when my gamepad disconnected after it was done installing but now its losing connection from 7-8ft away

Mines working fine and I was just playing MK8 up stairs in my room which is quite far from the Wii U in the Sitting room and everything worked as normal.

Hmm guess its just me then I'll try to see how i can fix the range, if possible.

Back in March one day and totally out of the blue, my gamepad started to lose connection with the console even though it was in the same room it has always been in previously.

I literally had to stand and hold the gamepad within a foot of the console to get it to connect, and if I stepped back a few feet it would go out again. I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but I remember resetting and recalibrating the controller several times, then eventually just letting the gamepad battery die. The next time I tried to turn on the Wii-U, it worked fine and it has never been a problem again.

Maybe it is a similar situation for you? Just mess around with it for a bit and see if it goes back to working. I thought I would have to send the gamepad in for repairs when it happened to me, but luckly the issue seemed to resolve itself.

The range of my gamepad is still as bad as it was before the update.

These sturdy walls simply won't let me play in any other room.

I play my GamePad right on the edge of where my stable connection bubble is (smart idea, I know, but... I'm in a situation I won't go into detail right now on), and if I take the GamePad another foot or so back it'll disconnect sometimes. Except it hasn't been, so I don't think the system update is the cause, more of a coincidence. Hope you get it fixed soon, though.

Mine has just glitched in Mario Kart 8 first time it has happened.

Did you just get a system update or a gamepad update as well (I don't know what I got don't think I got a Gamepad update).
