Topic: Gamepad keeps trumping pro controller

Bought my daughter a WII U. It's hard for her to use the gamepad and purchased a pro controller. The pro controller is synced and will work in the menu but when playing a game the console reverts back to the gamepad over the pro contoller. I've looked evrywhere online to no avail. I tried the contoller settings and it won't stay with pro in spot 1. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You may want to check and be sure the game is compatible with the Pro Controller. Also, I (sadly) found out the hard way that some games are selective with Pro Controller compatibility. Like, Splatoon works with a Pro Controller, but only in the limited local multiplayer mode. Lego Avengers is also compatible, but only in local co-op (workaround being start player 2, then retire player 1).

Which game or games are you trying to play with the Pro Controller?

There's your problem. Neither of those games is compatible with the Pro Controller. Epic Mickey 2 works with the Wii Remote + Nunchuk, and Smurfs 2 works with the Wiimote, but otherwise they're Gamepad-only. Sorry.
