Topic: Gamepad battery lasts 10 minutes.

Recently I've been noticing our Wii U gamepad has been powering off due to low battery very often. Just now I tested it; when I turned it on it claimed to have a full charge. Less than ten minutes later it shut down again. It also seems to return to full charge within ten minutes. Does anyone know what the problem is, or if there is any way to fix it other than keeping it plugged in all the time? Thanks.

Sounds like you might need a new battery. There are a couple of suggestions

1) Contact Nintendo and set up a repair

2) Check ebay, Craigslist etc. for a Game pad sold by itself.

Most likely you just need to replace the battery. You can do this yourself. You used to be able to buy a gamepad battery directly from Nintendo, but I'm not sure if this is the case anymore. Check Nintendo's website, and if not, check other online retailers.

Get the extended battery if you can. Totally worth it!
