This would be SO nice to have. Obviously Nintendo will never sell these, but how hard would it be to build? I would definitely order one is someone started building these. I've seen GC to Wii U adapters already but this is much cooler. Would it be possible to make? What do you guys think of this?

What's pro about it? Just looks like a GC controller.

Yeah...exactly. It would be nice to have a Gamecube controller to use on the Wii U. I still prefer using the GC controller for Smash Bros. over anything else. I can use the pro controller but I've always liked the GC controller better.

They sell an adapter now that lets you use Gamecube controllers with the Wii U. NintendoLife just had an article about it a few days ago so you can check it out here if you like.

The Wii U Pro has everything but the triggers and, IMO, is a better controller. In fact, if I were playing my GameCube I'd want to use the Wii U Pro.

If that controller had analog shoulder buttons and was an official Nintendo product then I would definitely get it. If it were official then Nintendo could release games that support it like gamecube games. Also, throw in all the accelerometers and stuff in the gamepad so it can have motion use, too. Mainly for like tilting or shaking. It would probably be expensive, but it would be worth it.

I recent got that and it works quite nicely, but if a GC Controller Pro existed, I might prefer it, at least in place of an actual GC controller or if GameCube VC ever existed. My only objections to the above design are the control sticks' different designs and the shoulder buttons. Otherwise Nintendo ought to make this, at least if they ever think of putting GC on VC.

Yeah that would definitely be a nice touch, but would be useless for all the Wii U games.

I think if they were to make this, it would definitely have to be usable with all Wii U titles, which is why the sticks need to be L3/R3 clickable. Here's a petition, in case anyone was wondering lol https://www.change.org/petitions/nintendo-develop-a-gamecube-...

I actually bought a Mayflash USB adapter so I can use my SNES controllers on my PC for various things. One of the best adapters I have ever owned, so I might look into that Gamecube one.

I can't speak for the GameCube adaptor, but I have the Mayflash NES/SNES adaptor for the Wii and it works perfectly with no detectable lag.

That's why I said I would want this to be an official controller so Wii U games would support it. The Classic Controller Pro came out after launch for the Wii but eventually games did either require or support it. And yes, it would need clickable joysticks.
