Several Wii U dev kits returned to Nintendo untouched. One developer speaks about why they sent their dev kit back and another paints a picture of trouble with DLC and Nintendo.

I know it's unbelieveable, but that's 38 games announced for Wii U eShop.
And those are just the announced ones.
Hate to break it to you, but every console ever has developers back out.
The article is adding a spin based on something that developer said. The developer said that the publisher wouldn't let them because Nintendo is a challenge to be successful on. There is no such comment from anywhere regarding DLC.
"Apparently this is common among third party developers and could be the reason that Wii U owners are not seeing DLC for popular titles."
This is nothing more then speculation on the author. The only facts in this article is Avalanche isn't making games. I'm not doubting Wii U doesn't have strong backing because Iwata admitted it but this article is highly unprofessional and random guesswork. This is why Wii U Daily is a joke.
It's a bit redundant that you will make so many of these threads but reading the article it sounds like Nintendo just needs to be more friendly with 3rd parties. But I think Nintendo is still trying to figure out the whole online thing completely seeing as they were the last to the party on it and they seem to always be a step behind Sony and Microsoft on online offerings.

Can't they request another kit? ...oh wait, that's right. They can.
What makes you think they gonna request for another dev kits when they already returned the ones sent to them before?
Who's to say they're not? Nintendo — get this — wants games on their platforms, so I'm sure they'd send that developer more kits if they requested them.
Even the source article has it marked as 'rumor', therefore I've updated the thread title appropriately.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3
