Naturally, yesterday I went to EB games to pick up Pokemon Conquest and Heroes of Ruin, and the worker at the counter (also the store manager) gave me a list of Wii U games and accessories that are pre-orderable. This isn't the first time, he also gave me the list of 3DS games in 2010, and all games and consoles on that list, and all the miscellaneous information he told me were all accurate. So I thought this might peak everyone's interest.
Also, to clarify, all the dates and prices shown on it are placeholders. (Phew!)
For those who can't see the list, or are too lazy to read it, here are some interesting points:
-Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U are both listed separately. Are they not pack-ins?
-"METRO LAST/L" is listed, unless this is something I haven't heard of, could this be a new Metroid Game? Edit: I guess not.
-"CHASE MII" is a separate game, not pack-in software.
Also, interesting points he told me:
-Black will be a launch color.
-The estimated price is still $598 for Australia.
-The console will launch in DECEMBER. I don't remember when exactly he said, it was probably either the 10th, 16th, 20th, or 21st. However, it's definitely going to be out BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
-Skylanders: Giants will still come to the Wii U, confirmed, it just isn't on the list. No news on release date for it, however- but I think he said the other versions will be out in October or September here if anyone wanted to know.
-Nintendo will garuntee ALL pre-orders, on both consoles on games. For those of you worried about shortages, I recommend you do this. Like all consoles, the depost is $50 at EB Games if you want to buy it there. Everything else is a $10 deposit.
I'm sure there's something else I've forgotten, and if there is, I'll post it here. But assuming this list is real, what are your thoughts?
There's no way the Wii U isn't coming out until December. That's going to cause shortages just like with the Wii launch.
Why is Zelda listed on there? It's too soon for another console Zelda game.
The Sims sounds interesting. The only one I've really liked so far on the consoles is The Sims 2 on the gamecube. So if it's something like that, I'm down. If not, I'll be disappointed as usual.

Smash Bros. on 3DS had the same case- it was orderable a long time ago. They put this stuff that's practically confirmed up so they don't need to do it later.
Oh, I also forgot, he said Nintendo is going to garuntee ALL pre-orders, so for those of you worried you won't get one, I'd recommend to put one aside. Like all consoles. The deposit is $50 at EB
By the title of the posting I thought you were going to reveal...

Making New Super Mario Bros U a pack in game would be incredibly foolish.

But fox! Super Mario came with the NES and Super Mario World with the SNES.
That was a different time and a different market. Nintendo knows that a sizable percentage of people planning on picking up a Wii U will eagerly buy NSMBU on its own.

It's a good point, but another way of looking at it, would be that a NSMBU pack could be enough to entice potential customers, or those who haven't pre-ordered, to make the purchase
I don't think it will happen though, I imagine Nintendo will rely on the stores to create their own pack-in deals
