My Wii u keeps telling me that I don't have enough free space available. I have deleted almost everything that was saved. It's only showing me two things...Netflix which is 39MB and one game which has 1536MB. Where is the rest that is apparently taking up the memory? How can I fix this problem so we can play more games?

@Nikkirowden I assume you've got a white 8gb Wii U...? The operating system of the Wii U takes up at least half of that 8gb, I think.

To store more download games you'll need to get some external storage, such as an external hard drive. You should do your research about this, as there are power supply issues to consider.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Yes it is an 8g but what I don't understand is that I had a lot more games on there before. I deleted tons and now I'm still showing there is no memory. The numbers are not adding up at all.
You're trying to tell me that on an 8g system the hard drive itself takes up about 7? I'm not buying that theory. That doesn't make sense

@Nikkirowden The HHD itself doesn't, but the Wii U OS does. You know, the OS that makes playing games possible, that shows the main menu and all. Did you buy your games digital? I assume you have them on disc right? If you're just deleting save files, well, those don't take up that much space, meaning you're still short on memory if you want to download a game for example.

One game is downloaded. The others are all on a disc. The only thing it shows me in systems and space is the downloaded game and I have Netflix. That is it. It is showing those two as taking 1642 MB total.
I deleted a lot more games and stuff a few months ago. Now I can't even play those games on a disc because it says I don't have the available space.
I don't understand where the rest of the space that's taken up is at? What's taking up the other 6.5g???

@Nikkirowden The system's OS is taking up that space. What game have you bought digitally?

Super Mario 3D World. Which is what is taking up most of the space that is left. However I had that game downloaded before when I had a lot of other games on there as well. That's why I am confused
