Was this happening to you before the update as well?

I did not try the system before the update.

Hi. Having a different sort of screen flicker problem. Everything is fine for a while, then screen seems to shut off completely for a second, then returns. Any ideas?

How's your Wii U connected, HDMI or component?

If it's by HDMI cable, is it the Nintendo supplied cable or third-party?

If it's a third-party cheapie and you've tried the cable in a different HDMI port and still had the issue, then it's likely to be the cable because I had a similar issue with my PS3 a few years back.

I get flickering horizontal lines running across my screen whenever I use component cables on my WiiU. They come and go. Got a replacement system from Nintendo and it does it too! It's extremely frustrating! HDMI out does not produce the same problem. It even does it on my other television.

Make sure the Wii U is set to the correct resolution, or mess with your TV settings.

This definitely looks like it's the Wii U's problem, not the TV or cable, because only some things in the game are flickering. If it was the cable or TV, the entire image would flicker, not certain 3D models within the game.

You could try changing you Wii to different resolutions though and see if the same thing still happens. Is NintendoLand downloaded? If so, try redownloading it after deleting all the data (it looks like you just started fresh so it shouldn't matter). If not, try deleting the data for it anyway, restart you Wii U, and try again. If none of those work then post the video on the Nintendo tech support forums

Definitely either the WiiU is borked, or the game disc/file is borked.

My Wii U was working fine last night, then today it's game pad screen works just fine, but in the television screen it has a thick green and pink flickering bar and the screen is cut into 3 different sections. I have unplugged everything and tried different. Hdmi cords, can anyone help?
