But they didn't review it in its entirety lol they just talked about how repetitive it all was it was a really bad review i could have done a better job

Wii U I.D : PinkSpider
@PinkSpider: They probably did an absolute rush-job of it then, seeing as they're in the minority. I've only heard exceptional things of Zombi U so far. Either that, or the reviewers over there have no understanding of what the concept of survival horror entails.

either of which are a completely predictable situation
If they were saying positive things about the game I'd get you guys would care what IGN was saying.
Have any of you read the article? It's very positive, this game got absolutely panned when it was released for Xbox and PS3.
"It’s fantastic to see this kind of hardcore gamer’s game on a Nintendo console – and at the Wii U’s launch, no less – and you can forget much of what you may have heard about the original release of this game earlier this year on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It’s far from perfect and best viewed with “launch goggles” on, but Razor’s Edge’s unflinching action and unabashed violence is a great sign for the Wii U as a core gamer’s platform."
The IGN review didn't bother me either. I expected more from Team Ninja regarding the graphics, but IGN's review still says this is the best version of the game.

IDK. Watching the E3 gameplay videos for ZombiU all year had me worried it would be too claustrophobic like the GameSpot review confirmed. I'm all about conserving ammo in a survival horror, but not if I'm unable to avoid or outrun enemies. GameSpot said you're forced to resort to melee combat over and over. (If I had been forced to use the knife in the Resident Evil series, I would hate those games.) At least after they got bored of the single player campaign, they liked the asymmetrical multiplayer. So that's something.
@Gamesake: That's the point of survival horror. Zombi U strategises the experience to a realistic extent. You can't run or avoid zombies in a realistic survival horror situation, and ammunition damn sure wouldn't be something in regular supply either. It's all about knowing where to conserve your ammo and your supplies, not just how. The gamer is meant to use a skillful combination of both shooter and melee combat, but that's something the reviewers at GameSpot haven't cared to master yet.
Zombi U is a strategic FPS, which is what makes it so appealing, yet the notion just has to go under-appreciated in some instances. It all depends on how you play it.
Destructoid had positive things so far for all but NG3:RE. Let's see how it is in perspective to the complete list of reviews, though I'm not too hopeful.
I want ZombiU to be good, so let's hope that GameSpot review was... just a GameSpot review? Never mind. No need to worry. @GameLord08 Thanks for the reminder to check out Jim's twitter.
@TysonQ7: Jim's also reviewing Tank! Tank! Tank!, from what I read. Expect it when the review embargo for the eShop is lifted (which is Nov. 18th, from what a developer has told me).

eShop embargo? Hmm... does that mean it's an eShop game? I don't understand what that term would entail.

If a game doesn't give you options, it's not being realistic.

According to GameSpot the only way to conserve ammo in ZombiU is to bludgeon waves of zombies with a cricket bat--that's why they didn't like it. A good survival horror game should be about avoiding encounters.

You're supposed to actually use your ammo in situations like that. Only in single encounters do you resort to melee combat.
Besides, from what I've watched from Zombi U gameplay, avoiding encounters is more than possible in open areas. Again, it depends on how you play; stealth is a skill determined by the player, not the game.
If the Wii U version of Arkham City is so good, I might sell my PS3 version (which I never made time for) and get the Wii U version when I get the time.
Also, for people with a Wii U, do online Wii games like Brawl and Mario Kart Wii get transferred as well, since you couldn't originally save them on a SD card?

Which is higher than what they gave black ops 2 - 9.3 (not the Wii U Version)
It was a copy-paste review of the 360/PS3 game.
Also, Destructoid gave it a 7.0. They said the gamepad elements felt shoehorned in and ruined the pace of the game. They also said the PS3 and 360 versions of the game were better because of this. Seems fair enough. http://www.destructoid.com/review-batman-arkham-city-armored-... Here's a quote.
"Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition fails to ruin what still is an admirable game, but there's no skipping around the issue of elements being forced in and serving only to render it inferior, making previously simple functions more complicated than they should be and dragging down the game's pace. While still a very good game at its core, this is not as good as the original, purer release. There's no shame in a Wii U title that doesn't shoehorn Wii U features into itself, and if the game would be better off without them, I'd really rather that be the route taken"
The reviewer also stated that if you haven't played this game, then you really need to get it. So still a recommendation, just not a huge one.
