I don't care about financials I want details and why isn't either party talking about it at all. Unless this is somehow still 2 years away I just don't understand why nothing at all. Kinda how Nintendo at the last minute pulled Mario Golf out of its original release time frame and never said a word about it again for almost 9 months.
I'd rather know how this game came to be conceptually. I've played many of the SMT games and spinoffs, namely DeSu and Persona, so I wanna know: which "version" of SMT can I expect to be paired up with FE? For that matter, why FE?

I'm pretty sure its vanilla SMT. Not the spin-offs.
I expect the gameplay will be most similar to FE. Actually... if the game was just Fire Emblem, but using summoned SMT demons as your units (with your 'hero unit' as the battlefield commander/summoner with various abilities)... that would be quite enough to kick all kinds of ass. Also Demon recruitment and fusion for better unit compositions over time. And perma-death of course.
This is one of the few disappointing things about E3, from Nintendo. Fire Emblem is my favorite franchise from them, and getting nothing was heart breaking. But, I feel they are working on it. Fire Emblem is at an all time high, from the popularity of the 3DS game. I believe in Nintendo, and know they will do right by their fans.
I hope.

This is confirming my suspicions that Ninty is holding back some things this e3, and are gonna drop some Nintendo Direct bombs on us before the year is through.
"We're right on schedule, but if I answer in any more detail I will lose my job, so please have mercy on me," he told Polygon during the open-mic Q&A.
Well if that's the case and the game is coming along, why not show us a bit of it? Something is up. The silence from Retro throughout this e3 is also suspicious.
I'm undecided if that would make sense. On one hand, announce as much as possible to get the most attention at the biggest event. On the other hand, I don't think a crossover strategy game is exactly gonna convince the Uncharted audience...

I think announcing new stuff throughout the year could keep momentum and excitement rolling instead of just dropping everything now, and then we all just sort of countdown to all the announced releases. We've already seen the potential in "lightning strike" marketing tactics with Earthbound and NES Remix. I'm not saying they will suddenly drop FE X SMT news on us a week before it's released, but I do think Nintendo is keen on experimenting with release schedules these days.

The little bit of this game that was shown caught a lot of rpg gamers' attention and I think it would have been more than welcomed at E3 since there was lack of the genre this year. I guess we'll have to wait for it to randomly pop up in an ND.
