I really cant say. Fire Emblem: Awakening is my favourite game from any Nintendo IP, but I haven't played many of the other games and didn't enjoy the others as much. I enjoy a lot of Zelda games more consistently, but I enjoyed Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission more than most of those. All I can really say definitively is that those are my Top 3.
Metroid is rubbish it is a run and gun made rubbish by loads of messing around in the name of exploration. (It would be perfect if it was intense from start to finish).

Zelda. It's the best franchise I've ever experienced. I've played most of them. The music. The bosses. The items. The story. Fantastic.
And now that it's coming to Wii U, I'll be buying one just for that.

mario or metroid? overall metroid is way more complex and intersting but i think i have to go with mario because in the end this is what nintendo really is.

Dudebro much?
I don't even really know what that means.
If the exact same worthwhile content was in the same format as something like Alien Soldier then I would love it. (As it is I really like some parts of it but it takes far too long to get to them).

It's gotta be Mario Kart for this guy. No entry in the series is perfect as there's little things that I would change about each game, but regardless no Nintendo IP has ever consumed more of my time than Mario Kart.
Mario Kart 7 is probably my personal favourite out of the bunch.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
Super Mario, and there's no doubt about it.
The Super Mario series has found multiple ways to find perfection. SM64, Sunshine, Galaxy, 3D World/Land, some of the New Super Mario Bros. games all the games from the NES era.
I'd also put the Mario series split up into multiple divisions: Party, Kart, Paper, and Luigi, etc. Because they're practically different games.
Metroid for me easily, if only because of Metroid Prime Hunters being a part of that franchise. That was my first full Metroid game, receiving the game back in April 2006, and my interest has been steadily going up since in that title alone. From Hunters, I've ended up completing every Metroid title but Metroid Prime Pinball, which I would like to correct in the near future. Hunters over the last 8+ years has remained my favorite Metroid game, and for the last 6 years has been my favorite game of all time. MPH is one of the most replayable games I've had the pleasure of experiencing providing a full multiplayer experience, that can even be enjoyed solo with bots, and having a single player with a fair amount of alternate completion paths. In terms of atmosphere, story and implications, I feel Hunters is a juggernaut no other game I've played has come remotely close to. I've already put in somewhere around 1,300+ hours into MPH, and I remain very interested in the game's experience, able to enjoy the game in both longer play sessions as well as short bursts. It's one of a kind within the Metroid Series and in Nintendo's catalog of games.
