Lockjaw's Saga is actually a remix of Lockjaw's Locker from Donkey Kong Country 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McSHtulKWto
Homecoming Hijinx was actually what I thought of before seeing your post,
I don't know much Wii U music though (I don't own one)
Tomorrow is Mine from Bayonetta 2. it isn't out yet, but it's close enough! I love this song, it's so energetic and fun!
I also like World 8 Music and Champion's Road(Super Mario 3D World),Dragon Roost Island(Wind Waker HD) and Fly Me to the Moon(Bayonetta - I'm not sure whether this counts as a remix or an old song or both but it's awesome).
EDIT: Whoops, I included a remix and an old song there, sorry!
I'd also like to add Leaving Earth from Mass Effect 3.
Definitely Big Top Bop's Boss Theme from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze!
But that will only hold true until Xenoblade X releases (I've heard some of the combat music, ACE+ outdid themselves there), or if we get some Guilty Gear action!
There's a level in Super Mario 3D World - I think it's where you have to walk on that cube that rolls on lava rivers. The song has a brass section interwoven with an electric guitar. The brass has that kind of "70s car chase movie" feel to it, it's rather brilliant
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

Pretty much anything from world two of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
If you include multiplats, Time of The Giants from Skylanders: Giants gives me a feeling of awe whenever I listen to it. I also love the main theme from my favourite level in the game, Troll Home Security. Actually, the title screen theme is pretty good... but the version in the OST sounds better.
If you're just talking Wii U exclusives, probably Sherbet Land. I haven't heard much music that captured the feeling of a winter wonderland so well.

Yar. DKC2 is possibly my favorite platformer of all time, and David Wise coming back and amping up the nostalgia worked great on me. The entire DKC:TF soundtrack is amazing.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I'd have to say the battle track from Child of Light is one the best themes there is, right now, IMO. Sunshine Airport, Thwomps Ruins, Tick Tock Clock, and Grumble Volcano from MK8 are ok, too. Fighting monsters in the Deserted Island or Volcano from Monster Hunter. Mighty Switch Force HD's track is ok. One of the themes from Giana Sisters is ok. Teragregia from RE: Revelations. Tropical Wilds from Pikmin 3.
EDIT: Also, the Amazon, Himalaya, and last level in Ducktales Remastered. The free run track from Lego City.
"They played us like a damn fiddle!" - MGS5
"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3
"We could take a s*** on you from such a height, you'd think God himself has crapped on you!" - GTA: SA
Currently Playing: The Phantom Pain.
Assuming Rayman Legends' music levels (like Castle Rock's music being based on the Ram Jam song "Black Betty") and Mario Kart 8's retro courses don't count. I'd go for Mario Kart 8's Bowser's Castle, Sonic Lost World's Windy Hill Zone 1 and Sky Road Zone 1.
Lots of Tropical Freeze stuff. Seashore War, Sawmill Thrill, and High Tide Ride are my favorites. I love Sawmill Thrill just for the water section in the middle, the hammer dulcimer and the atmosphericness (is that a word?) of it all just sound wonderful. Seashore War is just beautiful, and High Tide Ride is just so exciting and intense, and I think I actually enjoy it more if I'm playing the level it's from. I'd also choose Moo Moo meadows from Mario Kart 8, but that's a remix, not an original.
