Topic: Fatal Frame franchise

I hope Tecmo will bring over the games that were not available in the U.S. such as Fatal Frame 4 and the remake of Fatal Frame 2. There is a facebook page dedicated to the franchise if anyone wants to "like" it and support it. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Operation-Zero/131582506953973?...

I know this is SLIGHTLY off topic given this is a Nintendo related board but I've been playing Fatal Frame 1 via PS2 Classics on Playstation 3, so much fun. I'm having a scary good time. Great price too. ($9.99)

I plan on getting that on the PS store eventually. It will be a long eventually though.

Project zero 5. Yes please, the Wii u gamepad is made for it. It can be used as the camera.

I'd love a new episode, with a great use of the gamepad! Just imagine yourself scanning your dark room in search of the approcching ghosths!!!

Come on Nintendo this needs to happen. This could be the blockbuster hit we Wii-U owners have been waiting for.

Doesn't Nintendo own the NA publishing rights to Fatal Frame?

Yes. They co-own this IP. I've heard it was cool by various people. They published the 4th one in Japan, but didn't see a market here in the U.S., or the U.K.

I pray for Fatal Frame to get a North American release (I even bought Spirit Camera on the 3DS to support the series). I'd be fine with the Wii games (2 and 4) releasing on the eShop, but a new Wii U title would be even better. I'm still hopeful though, because Fatal Frame was one of the games listed in the Wii U debug screens.

I take it they only own it in Japan or after the third one.

Yes, they own it after the 3rd one. I heard it was awesome.

This is not quite as high as Wii U ports of PC strategy games on my list of "Obvious games that need to be on the Wii U because it's the Wii U" but it's up there.

I mean they could really get a revival of an interest in survival horror after ZombiU if they play their cards right and USING A CAMERA WITH THE CONTROLLER.

They could do alot with it, yes. Nintendo doesn't completely own this IP, but they own alot of it. That automatically makes it an exclusive for Nintendo.
It looked pretty good from what I've seen on Youtube, but it's ALWAYS better when you're playing it yourself, obviously.

The Fatal Frame franchise is awesome. My personal favorite was Crimson Butterfly. I really hope Nintendo does something with this franchise in the future
