I always thought the design for Bayonetta was kinda ugly, and, I played through the first game on the 360......her personality was initially unlikeable as well, although that aspect improved as the game moved on. But yeah, I hear you, she's pretty hyper sexualized.
I've never played any of these games before, but I was almost positive that this was going to be an ip that Nintendo was going to bury. Glad they proved me wrong. Now if only they'd do the same for eternal darkness before they lose the rights to the ip
Hopefully the lack of software will all but force NOA's hand here with a localization and release. And hopefully the Fatal Frame fans will reward the move and perhaps even give Nintendo reason to reconsider the two Wii entries down the road even if it's just for future Virtual Console fodder instead of something more ambitious like a HD double pack of both for the Wii U.
At the very least, if this arrives and does well, it should secure the domestic release for a potential future sequel down the road.
How do we know there will be a lack of software when this comes out?

a wii u exclusive third party game about time we get one
As if Sonic and ZombiU don't exist...
Zombiu has already been released and although Sonic was Nintendo exclusive it wasn't Wii U exclusive I probably should have worded my comment differently but I meant that we finally got a Wii U exclusive third party title confirmed it's been ages since the last one
@Unca_Lz unless Nintendo starts paying 3rd parties to develop games for them, or if they secretly have an extra 5,000 developers working on new games for the system, it's probably safe to assume that this game will release during a wii u game drought
Barely, the only thing we know they paid for was Bayonetta and W101 (I don't know if they paid for the sonic exclusives). I'm talking about if they paid several third parties to release both exclusives and multiplats on their system. I wouldn't really call games like Hyrule Warriors third party games since they are using a well known Nintendo ip
I wonder if some deal was striked between Nintendo and Tecmo Koei, given this and Hyrule Warriors. As for Yakuza, it's a SEGA developed and published IP, and they always took there sweet time to localize it for the Playstation,.....so given the Wii U's small market, it's not surprising they declined to port it over to NA. The last Fatal Frame on the Wii and the 3DS spin off have been published by Nintendo, so we have some hope here in that regard.
Now we just need Peach and Rosalina in the next Dead or Alive!
Oh gawd, that'd be hawt. o.o
Also, a lot of people are saying that there's little coming to the Wii U, but given the number of games revealed in January of 2013 that we haven't gotten, yet and the lack of games being mentioned in the Directs for the first half of this year, I'd imagine Nintendo has a lot to show us at E3, and I wouldn't be shocked to see a lot of it release in Fall and Winter 2014.
Contrary to popular belief, Nintendo is well aware that they need to get games out as soon as possible. Thankfully, they also realize that rushing games is a stupid idea. Games take time to make. Just because they aren't out yet doesn't mean Nintendo hasn't been changing the way they go about handling releases on the system. The effect will be delayed.
EVEN SO! This game should still be localized, and I think you're all right that the Wii U's current situation will practically ensure the port.

Sounds more interesting to me than Zombie U. This game sounds a bit like a mature/full version of the game in "Game and Wario" where you take pictures of ghosts on the last level?
For people saying that NoA will release the new Fatal Frame game because there isn't any other software coming out... well, that was the same situation for Wii and Fatal Frame 2. At that point in time, there were almost no new Wii games coming out, and gamers who owned the console were desperate for something new. The big change now is that Wii had a HUGE install base, while the Wii U install base is (relatively) small.
NoA wouldn't bring Xenoblade over until it got support from GameStop to share publishing costs. They outright skipped The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and Fatal Frame 2. Until an official announcement is made and the game starts showing up on shelves, I'm not going to hold my breath.
