I wondered if anyone could share any household traditions revolving around the Wii U. Do you have a "family game night" or regular tournaments that you do as a family? I'm mostly trying to get ideas for me and my son. There are enough classic titles on Wii U now (between VC and Wii games) that I thought about starting a "retro game night" where my son and I play through part of a classic game on Friday nights. If you have started any traditions with your Wii U, how often do you do them and what games do you play?

When ever I have my daughter (Every Wednesday and every other weekend) we get in a few rounds of Mario Kart 8, but she really liked the Splatoon testfire so I am sure we will be getting into that next

Similar story here: I have my daughter Tuesday nights and alternating week-ends and we usually get in a few games of Mario Kart, Smash. If my partner is over as well then the three of us play Game & Wario, Nintendo Land and Wii Party U; sometimes Spin the Bottle depending on the mood.

Sadly no. I'm still in school, so what I want to do just gets thrown around. That said I find it a necessity to play Mario Kart whenever family comes round, and Smash Bros. with friends. Though bare in mind I'm the only one who plays the Wii U out of these people, so the challenge isn't too big...
