Topic: Extension of the Premium Wii U Promotion?

not only in terms of time but also for wii u basic owner.

I think I would rather have a competitive market for the sale of the codes (So it at least matches the cost of physical games if not slightly better due to the lack of used leeching into profits).

I mean I've got around 40$ in free credit, so I don't really hate it? I'd rather just have better club nintendo games each month though.

I think they are just going to expand on the club Nintendo digital rewards. It is a promotion they have more control over.

Think he mean along the lines of 500 coins for a $5 eShop credit type of deal.

The promo is very helpful, I hope they have something in hands for the next year.

That wouldn't be too bad, but I think they would have to ask for about 500 coins (like @Prof_Clayton said) The other games would be cheaper since you don't get to pick (and they are normally $5) so you would have to make the decision between waiting for a good game or getting the $5 to get a game you know you want.

I love the promo because I'm getting something for nothing really. Other then maybe buying MK8 as a disk, everything else I've purchased off of eShop either doesn't have a retail version or I got it because of a promotion or as a reward. Having said that, I hope they extend it but I won't be mad if it ends on 12/31/14 as planned. I've gotten more out of it then I really should have.

I've gotten $20 out of it so don't think it woud affect me pesonally if it went away, but from a public relations standpoint it certainly looks bad if hey just let it end without some type of replacement digital program. They have that whole long list of "Nindy" games coming the next few months, and some of them will probably be free on PS consoles w/ PS+ or on Xbox consoles w/ Gold. The DDP is the only thing Nintnedo has that looks like they care at all about digital.

If they were smart - and they are so far removed from smart marketing - they would announce something real soon - like literally yesterday - for the SSBU sales. As it is if they do announce anything it probably won't be until late Dec. Maybe Christmas day when nobody is paying attention. Nintendo is the north pole elves of videogame making, but all the toys just sit there b/c Santa's dead and elves are only good at making toys, not delivering them.

I'm ok with it ending. Very few companies just give you free money and the fact that Nintendo did it for two years is pretty impressive. I'll be buying some eshop cards soon to make my final push on the service but I really feel that it was a great bonus and nothing more.

I would say it's the other way around; The elves are dying, so Santa has nothing deliver, but this isn't really on topic.

They could do like that the promo they had a while back where you get $5/$10 for putting $50/$100 of eShop credit into your account all at once, and that would effectively be the same thing. They know having that money in your account is going to entice most people to quickly spend it, so it will probably lead to more game sales than the current promotion where people can take their sweet time spending $50 to finally build up to that $5 credit.

I have about $200 worth of games on my wishlist (that are available now, so not counting Smash and Captain Toad) and if my interview goes well I am probably going to buy it all before this promotion ends lol

We have only 3 Thursdays left of new content, I just really hope Mario Kart Super Circuit comes for EU and the DKC trilogy for NA before this ends!
