Went ahead and ordered this off Amazon since I could find it for cheap (I know the sequel hasn't been announced for any Nintendo platforms yet). Has anyone played it on Wii U? Does it make good use of the Wii U's capabilities?

@Kogorn733 I've played some of it, but only using off-tv play. That part is good because if you want to you can switch display to the TV quickly and easily.

I've enjoyed it so far, but been out of it for over a month so can't remember much detail right now. Can't think of any complaints though.

I played it a couple of years ago and had a lot of fun with it. The gamepad is implemented pretty well, mostly avoiding unnecessary gimmicks. The second screen mainly functions as your map / radar, with the touch screen also used for the hacking minigame, which feels a lot more intuitive than using the control sticks would. Sniping also switches your view to the gamepad for some reason, although I barely used this as I tended to play pure stealth. No motion controls, from what I can remember.

My only real complaint was a glitch that scuppered my first attempt at a no kill run, when enemies died from what should have been non-lethal takedowns. I only noticed this happen a couple of times though, and I haven't seen anyone else mention this, so I don't think it's very common.

@Kogorn733 I played it on 360 and Wii U. Wii U is the definitive version I think. You can upgrade with the touch pad, use number pads to open doors etc. So ye, inventory, augments, maps and easy to enter passcodes in game. It was the game that made me think 'ye, touchscreen should be standard from now on'. Graphically, I couldn't tell em apart.

I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.

I think that bug is present on all versions. It happened to me on PC

I own it, but haven't played it. But I know it is objectively better than the original 2011 release (which was already a highly praised game, mind you) because of fixing those god awful boss fights.

I did play the original release, am genuinely sad I never finished it, hope to do so with the Wii U version. One of the best action meets stealth games you can buy, the story themes are fantastic, great use of multiple options to play through. Excellent video game.

Loved every minute! The implementation of the tablet was well done and the game itself was enticing and really good looking as well as polished. It is also quite lenghty - I think it took me about 37 h to play through.

It's one of the very best 3rd party games on the system. GamePad feels like second nature, it really "augments" the experience.

Definitely a good game. You cant go wrong with it if you are into those jibd of games.

What I've liked about it particularly was when I was having trouble with the first boss fight. I went online to read some tips, and the ones I found all revolved around the same solution, but I actually found my own way that was quite different. Equally as cheap, I must add, but very satisfying to know there's multiple techniques to choose from.

I played some of it. It's fantastic, and I'm glad to see people open to these types of gems on Wii U (Splinter Cell Blacklist is just as good)

Right now I'm playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

Only negative I found was the huge deadzones for the analogue sticks on the Gamepad. Not a game breaker for many but unfortunately was for me due to my difficulties with dual analogue aiming (I don't do stealth all that well).
