It's an intresting read although it doesn't really talk about the main problem of the Wii U and the future of it's home consoles.

They are still making great games- just not fast enough. As has been mentioned, components are coming down in price, so it's not out of the question that we see the Wii U drop in price again to spark sales.

...yes. It's mainly about digital games by talking about not shifting into mobile games, than about the 3DS games and then finishes off by talking about the N64. I don't think they directly talk about the Wii U at all and it's main focus is the games which isn't the problem with Ninty.

The main problem is yes making great games people want worked for the 3DS as it has a big install base of users, that wouldn't work for the Wii U as there aren't enough users. That is why the Wii work, loads of casual gamers like and wanted Wii Sports, Wii Fit etc so got a console and it could then offer the Mario & Zelda games to those users to get big sales rather than going after the Nintendo crowd imo.

Dropping the price may or may not help, the fundemental is problem is how to get people intrested in the Wii U & future consoles itself as making Nintendo games for the Nintendo gamers whilst correct isn't soley enough imo as it's not big enough to support an entire home console user base so must offer something more.

Keep in mind the likes of Smash Bros & Super Mario Galaxy sold around 11m copies and Zelda & Donkey Kong around 4-6m copies on the Wii, these are the hardcore Ninty gamers but only around tenth of the Wii's total audience also if we look at the Gamecube's big titles Mario Kart & Smash Bros sold around 7m copies then Mario with 6m and Zelda with less than 4m. The Dreamcast in it's entire life span sold 11m consoles to make a comparison.

I am never wrong!

Anyway, I'm not worried about Nintendo. Their stocks are actually still high despite the drop and I'm sure all this woe and doom will make them be more careful in the future.
